Unless the dog is dressed up as a bald man with glasses and a two piece suit, I think the story's gone.

I was watching that too! :( The Fox guy sounded like he might find some way to get the poor little fellow.

I want to know too if they get him out.

For those who don't know, he is caught in the water that is being pumped out of NO. and is in the area of the swirling water.

I would think that any dog that is swimming is swimming for his life. What would happen if he stopped swimming?

You're not nuts, I saw it, too.

Looked like a hunting dog of some type ended up in a holding basin while they're pumping out NOLA. The reporter on the scene was covering the story of draining NOLA when the camerman caught the dog swimming frantically in the tank, so they pretty much stopped their story and were in the process of turning off the pumps and trying to save the dog, who was hanging onto a grate. He was in a tough spot to get to, and they didn't have any ropes or nets to grab him.

The reporter (guy) was pretty upset.

They ended the feed so the crew could try and save the dog, and FOX said they'd update us later.

And I'm out the door, too. Dog was still alive at 8:33 am Central.

i saw that myself..It is where the water is going back out of New Orleans into the ocean..Last I saw he was hanging onto a filter..Then they cut away..I don't know the guy that was doing the reporting he is one of the good guys on FOX and have seen more of him during these storms.. He sure was trying to get someone to shut the water off or rescue the poor dog..not like other news people that would stay with it until the dog drown..just for the story..

My wife says she can deal with the devastation wrought on people, but seeing the animals on TV breaks her up.

I'm worried that if the house is burning and I am unconscious she will save the dog and the cat and leave me and the kids.
