DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. A Westchester nanny has been arrested for delivering 14 pounds of marijuana while driving her employers' sport utility vehicle with their one-year-old son inside.

Westchester County Police say 24-year-old Sanjay Rodrigues was arrested after police got a tip that the woman was going to deliver pot.

Police say they staked out a Dobbs Ferry home about 8 a-m yesterday and saw Rodriques, who worked at that home, pick up a cardboard box from the front of the house.

Later in the afternoon, police saw her place the boy in a child seat in the back of the S-U-V and put the box in the front seat. Information on who left the box at the house was not released because the investigation was continuing.

Police followed Rodriques to a Chestnut Ridge Way home, where she got out of the car and put the box in the front seat of a Chevy minivan owned by 33-year-old Paula Bennett of Mount Vernon, a housekeeper at that home.

Before Bennett could get back in the minivan, police questioned and arrested the two women about 5 p.m. yesterday.

No residents of either home where the women worked were involved or even aware of the investigation or alleged activities of their employees. The boy was placed in the care of a neighbor.

The estimated street value of the marijuana is more than 30-thousand dollars.

I know a lot of people don't have a choice, but why would you want to put the welfare of your children in the hands of a stranger?

Sanjay Rodrigues...

She's only making the drug deals Americans don't want to make.

That is the first Sanjay I've ever heard of that is a woman.

I thought it was a man's name.

This is what people learn by watching the HBO show "weeds". Nannys watch the show and say "great idea"

I'm not familiar with Crying Game. But if you are right about Sanjay being a man's name, it makes me wonder if she had a stolen or fake identity also.

Is a minivan really an SUV?

Guess I just got my image upgraded...

Good catch. See, what the MSM is actually saying, an SUV was actually responsible for drug running. This exhonerates the Nanny and any naivette the family may have had.

SUVs are amazing vehicles. They give a whole new meaning to the cruise control feature.

LOL!

The evil SUV taking control of those poor people,..

I'm seriously going to have to write a short story about such sometime soon.

It would make a cute cartoon. A new villain for Marvel.

That it would.

Though the dialogue would be both interesting and painful.
