F-k 'Em All?
Is that from the gang movie "Colors" from 1988 Starring Sean Penn and Robert Duvall?
Duvall tells Penn a story about 2 bulls sitting on a ridge looking down at a herd of cows. One bull says, "lets run down there and 'screw' one of those cows." The other bull says, "No, lets walk down there and 'screw' em all."
This probably isn't the original of this story. But, if this is the context of Dan Rather's phrase, then it fits in perfectly with CBS and Rather's agenda.
That's what Dan did to his loyal viewers for many years, he F'ed em all.
Thanks. It's not clear whether that mistake stems from ignorance or malicious intent, since Mapes and Rather are obviously well supplied with both...
Yep, it was you TankerKC. You didn't get the notoriety that you deserved, but seeing as how "they" treated Buckhead, that might not be a bad thing. It was a stunning episode that the MSM still doesn't fully understand.
"Peripheral spacing"-maybe that is a term for some sort of Quantum time/space travel. Yes, that explains it. That's the only way to travel to the parallel universe where Lucy Ramirez exists.
Maybe Louis Farrakhan can explain "peripheral spacing" to all of us. And maybe the commandos that blew up the levees in NO hide out in this parallel universe.
PING!
This is such a compliment to Freepers and especially Buckhead if its true.
Of course shes offended and appalled. Oh, how dare someone be mad at us spewing lies and pushing our agenda? How could possibly someone think that they can formulate ideas and gather facts on their own?
If you really think about it, her book is an arrogant and self ingratiating attempt to make herself appear as a victim. Pathetic at best!

The fact that Columbia hires people like Kalb is a good reason to not go there ~

It says a lot about your ability to give a balanced viewpoint that you had never heard of three hugely popular conservative websites. Ill bet you knew Kos and DU.
All these Web sites had extensive write-ups on the documents: on typeface, font style, and peripheral spacing
Peripheral spacing! No, Mary, thats proportional spacing. You know, the printing technique that helped destroy your career? Even NOW you dont know its correct name?
It had taken our analysts hours of careful work to make comparisons.
After their "careful work," your analysts told you that they could not validate the authenticity of the documents. Actually, any moron could have told you the same thing, since the documents were COPIES. You know, as in NOT ORIGINALS? Copies obtained from a highly partisan source with an obvious grudge against Bush? You used the documents anyway. You pretended they had validity. You, as usual, crossed the line that separates reporters from propagandists. Nothing you said after that could be trusted.
That first entry, posted by a longtime Republican political activist lawyer who used the name Buckhead, set the tone for what was to come.
Can you report ANYTHING correctly? The first post was by TankerKC, over three hours before Buckhead posted.
There was no analysis of what the documents actually said, no work done to look at the content, no comparison with the official record, no phone calls made to check the facts of the story, nothing beyond a cursory and politically motivated examination of the typeface.
Mary, how do we let you in on this? Once it is established that a document is forged, the contents are no longer presumed to be valid. The contents dont matter anymore, except perhaps to establish the identity and motive of the forger.
politically motivated examination of the typeface
What the hell does that mean? That an apolitical examination of the typeface would have proven the documents to be authentic?
Did it ever occur to you to apologize to the American public for presenting highly dubious documents from a highly impeachable source, documents that might have changed the outcome of a presidential election? I doubt it. You probably are proud to be a liberal propagandist. It's what you do, its what you are. What appalling arrogance.
I suppose I should end this on a positive note. So, I want to thank you for your part in demolishing what little credibility CBS maintained. You helped convince people that the MSM could not be trusted. You wanted to "make a difference," and you did. Mary, thanks very much.
If Mapes actually made this claim, it provides us with more evidence that she is stupid. Apparantly, she thinks activity on the Internet is staggered across time zones in the same way that broadcast TV shows are. Internet activity does not work this way. The Freepers who raised the first questions about her forged documents were in the Eastern and Central time zones, which saw the 60-Minute broadcast at the same time, before those on the West Coast saw it.
Rather - the consummate pro...
"That was all they had to attack, but that was enough."
Just a little bit of truth and facts ARE enough!
But would they react the same way if an anonymous source produced say....a Roll Call & Meeting Minutes document from the VVAW meeting where Kerry and his fellow traitors plotted to assassinate US Senators?
Would that be treated as an important story - accurate no matter the credibility of the evidence?
See BS has a propensity to hire idiots and pretend that they are honest upright journalists. What a joke!
New media. New freedom. New life. Better world.
These two aren't even worth the f word.
LOLOL!
