Saunders: Bill O'Reilly may be the king of cable television, but he doesn't have a court of loyal listeners on Denver radio.
His weekday talk show on KHOW-AM (630) will soon be replaced by one hosted by Glenn Beck, another syndicated personality who'll take over the noon-3 p.m. time period.
Under the contract, Clear Channel, operators of KHOW, must give syndicators of O'Reilly's series time to shop his show around in the Denver radio market before he's dropped from the station.

KHOW is making the move, according to Jerry Bell, program director of KHOW and KKZN-AM (760), because O'Reilly's show is in an audience rating funk - last in a talk radio battle that includes Rush Limbaugh KOA-AM (850), Sean Hannity KNUS-AM(710) and Ed Schultz KRZN.
Beck, headquartered in Philadelphia and currently heard in 47 markets across the country, is "a conservative with a broader view," according to Bell.
"Everything is not strictly political with him," Bell added

They are going to love Glenn Beck! He's a sick freak. :)
Denver is going to love Glenn Beck! He's a sick, twisted freak. :)
oops. Sorry for the double post. It didn't show up the first time for a while. Thought it didn't post.
Watched O'Reilly last night. Is there any there there? Funny that he uses the word "bloviating" which best describes himself. He just gets a dopey populist idea in the first ten seconds he interviews someone, and proceeds to interrupt and demand they agree even though he isn't making any sense. Last night he had a serious Wall Street Journal guest on about oil gouging, but O'Reilly went into this silly thing about how big oil would never let him open a mom and pop oil company. When he reached the silly extreme of saying big oil would run his little gas station out of business the guest tried to demur but O'Reilly interrupted and insisted "you know I'm right." What the hell was O'Reilly talking about? I doubt he knows.
Beck.... The worst thing to come to talk radio. Can't stand him. Instant station change....!
BOR has been pretty much unwatchable for at least 2-3 years. His head expanded much more than his intellect could carry him. I'll watch only if I know there's a guest/topic I'm extremely interested in.
Best part of O'Reilly's tv show is the e-mail, particularly when people call him the pompous a$$ he is.
I can take Beck in small quantitities but his schtick is very childish.
Get ready for moron trivia.
