Over the Weekend President George W Bush concluded a 3 day visit to various Command Centres relating to Hurricane Katrina and Rita returning to the White House Sunday afternoon.
Vice President Dick Cheney was admitted to the hospital for the elective surgery on his knees. It was announced after doing both knees (originally only one was to be done but surgery went so smoothly it was decided to do the other) that he might be in hopital for up to 48 hours, in fact he was only in for 27 hours and walked without any assistance to his limo early Sunday morning.
Today President Bush attended briefings with Interior Secretary Gale Norton and Energy Secretary Samuel Bodman and also delivers a Statement at the Department of Energy in Washington
Today it was expected that the Vice President would continue his recovery from his Saturday's surgery by working from home.
Today Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice had private meetings at the State Department with East Timor Prime Minister Mari Bin Amude Alkatiri, Malaysia's Minister of Foreign Affairs Syed Hamid bin Syed Jaafar Albar and Brazil's Minister of Foreign Affairs Celso Amorim
Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island
One of the most disgusting articles I saw, but didn't read, was all about "Hmm, Texas is mostly Republican, NOLA was mostly poor and black, and President Bush was in Texas right away", or something along those lines. I was too disgusted to read it.
Love the sign! LOL!
Thanks, As I say to my wife often..... "The first 100 years are the toughest" :-)
;O)
Wishing this stuff away won't cut it.
Conservatives need to be proactive while there is time left

Monday, Sept. 26, 2005 7:39 p.m. EDT Bill Maher: Laura Bush Like 'Hitler's Dog'
HBO "Real Time" host Bill Maher compared First Lady Laura Bush to "Hitler's dog" during his Friday night cablecast, after flashing a parody photo of Mrs. Bush with a black eye, as if she'd been a victim of domestic abuse.
After the photo display, Maher was challenged by guest panelist Christopher Hitchens, who told him: "It must be to [George Bush's] credit he got Laura Bush to marry him. She's an absolutely extraordinary woman."
To that, Maher replied: "Oh, come on. That's like Hitler's dog loved him. That is the silliest reason. ..."
"I think tomorrow you might be sorry you said that. Laura Bush is very gentle and talented," Hitchens warned
"See DUmmy, there are the busses you listed in your EVACUATION PLAN!"
Either that or pointing at Rick Perry and telling her to take a good look at a Governor who can handle a hurican emergcy.
***I sent a quickie/short email saying 'good job', hope it didn't get spammed! He really needs to know. ***
Good for you! Every single email sent to the President is a vote of confidence and love. How else can we outvote the crooked polls?
That is just terrible. They have no shame. Unbelievable.
that one called "Flaky" (spelling?"
It's sooooo chocolatey!
Sorry to hear that Mike hope you are on the mend now, good evening.
He may never say it but I am certain he and his aids have thought it more than once during these last 4 weeks.
That's one of the most disgusting things I've ever heard. I get even more pissed when I see stuff about Laura than I do about Dubya cuz at least Dubya is in office. Laura is not and never has run for anything and they should leave her out of it.
Maher needs ot apologize right now to Laura for that despickable insult!
Now THAT is the lowest I've heard from the desperate libs. Laura a DOG? Bill Maher is Pirate Soros' parrot. I'd like to jam a cracker down his throat. I am MAD!
Thank you! I don't remember this one. Very nice. :)
Thanks, I figure whatever doesn't kill me only makes me stronger, after this weekend I have gained strength :-)
