Well, I guess I can understand not checking out what he claims in a cutline. They should verify it, but I have more tolerance for that screw up.
It is a big deal that another paper failed to check out his claims when they were doing an article and QUOTING him.
That is outright failure.
I know if I were writing a story about this, I would have checked him out, even if the person claimed to be a Dem ashamed of Clinton or something during the impeachment situation. It is what a good journalist would do. You simply do NOT take claims at face value.

Yep that would be interesting.
I found this "Eddy was a member of the inaugural class of Public Management Program of the GSB, a program oriented towards applying traditional business practices to the public sector."
Maybe he has some Republican roots down deep after all. :)

RATs claiming to be Republicans are on the increase. It's been so blatant and obvious for so long that whenever it happens on the radio I simply accept that it's another loser preteding and role playing the playbook. It's like they've conditioned us to accept it as real.
Freaky.

"I'm a liar and proud of it."
You ought to send that to Hannity along with the original and an explanation of what happened.

I am not "crockspot." That's why I thanked crockspot at the end of the article I wrote. His/her work made it easy for me to write my article.

I hear this guy named "Paul" call into KLBJ often. Sometimes he claims to be an Iraq war vet when not claiming to be a Republican. He once even claimed to be a "Ron Paul" Conservative, that's right, Conservative, and the hosts did not even catch that (Ron Paul is a
anarchist who bathes libertarian).
I don't have caller ID like the "Mark, Sam and Ed" do, but how can they not know?

The way I wrote my tagline when I submitted this article did thank "crockspot, on the Internet." ChronWatch, unfortunately reverted to my standard tagline -- I've written for them for more than two years. I freely acknowledge, as I have on many of my last 300 articles, that my writing would be impossible without the excellent research that others have done on the Internet.

Freepers ARE great at exposing frauds. But not this time. The write-up is mine, word for word. But the fundamental research was done by crockspot, who is not (to the best of my knowledge) a Freeper.

Events listed at JohnKerry.com:
Alternative Republican Convention
On Thurs Sept 2, George Bush wil give his acceptance speech. We will hit mute and instead hear from Republicans for Kerry including former Congressman Pete McCloskey. Sponsored by Peninsula Republicans for Kerry, this event is open to all, regardless of Party. We especially welcome other Republicans, though, whether already Kerry supporters or just "Kerry curious."

Protest greets Arnold
Jeb Eddy, a Republican since the 1970s, joined protesters Wednesday wearing a blue blazer and khakis. The 35-year Palo Alto native said up to 10 percent of local Republicans are also unhappy with the governors special election plans.
I think theres a lot of other Republicans that feel the same way I do, but theyre afraid to come out, Eddy said.

Dont the reporters of these false-Republican appearances by Mr. Eddy have computers? Dont they know how to push the buttons for a Google search, or an FEC records search? If they did, they wouldn't have repeatedly given us Greg Packer as the face of the man on the street. (or maybe they thought that we didn't know, so that was okay at the time?)
