NOTE: I was not in a position to take notes, so this is the best report I can make from memory.
KPFK, the quasi-communist radio station in Los Angeles, brought to its listeners the anti-war activities in Washington, D.C. A woman named Verna Avery Brown and some ***clown guy, whose name I didn't catch, were interviewing Jessica Lange, airhead actress and political and military commentator. I knew she was foolish, but it was even worse than I have seen before.
The ***clown guy kept talking about a blacklist and how it must be difficult to get work in Hollywood. Imagine thinking that being against the war in Iraq would keep someone in Hollywood from getting a job.
Ms. Brown asked Ms. Lange what she would say to the President if she had a child who had died in the war. Lange's answer was startling. She said that would never happen. George Bush actually meeting with the mother of a child who died? As I recall, she used language such as "only in your dream" or it would be "unimaginable." Apparently, Lange does not realize what the president has done and the meetings he has had with the parents of those who have died.
I believe it was then in the KPFK replay of her speech today that Lange called the president a man with no heart. He came into office to get rid of Hussein and he had a "master plan." We continue to cause bloodshed, torture, and devastation. Ms. Lange is apparently unaware that it is the terrorist b*st*ards that are causing the bloodshed, torture, and devastation.
Lange made the comment that the "monstrous men and the women who condone and support them are on the way out," whatever that may mean. She is really going to have a very unhappy 3+ more years.
Back to the interview portion of the program. I need some FReeper help with this. Lange told Brown and ***clown guy that her kids in school had heard uncomplimentary comments about what their mom was doing against the war. She mentioned that she was a freshman in college in 1968. That would make her about 55. Does she really have children in school, or did she also invent that tidbit in the fantasy world in which she lives?
I know it isn't nice of me, but as she finished, I had a mental picture of Kong crushing her years ago so we wouldn't have to listen to this rubbish. But, of course, that would not have been real. That would have been Hollywood.
Who would want him to?

I didn't hear her interview, doug. I did hear her "speach." It was so over the top it was not possible to give one word of it credence. She believes that the President will be impeached for I don't quite know what. Being a Republican, I guess.

he has a child from Baryshnikov (I probably misspelled that) and I believe she has children from the actor/play-write Sam Shepard. I don't think she bothered to marry either one.
One of her kids was fathered by Mikhail Baryshnikov. He should enlighten her as to why he defected. Then give her a good swift toe kick in the kisser.
