Yah...our house had a LARGE floor to work on, so I was never hampered by lack of space.
Tell you niece if she has a talent for sewing, she can make LOTS of money. I made my first dress when I was 12, and when I divorced my first husband, I made extra money sewing clothes for some of the people I worked with. It kept the wolves from the door, and allowed me to give my little son (2) some of the good things.
If I had been smart, I could have used that talent to become a designer...
She has the design eye.
She brought a few things that she has made.
Couple of purses.
Has the design part down with out knowing any of the rules.
When she gets the basics down she will take off.
Sewing has made the difference between survival and sinking for a lot of women.
It is a skill you never regret having.
