Thank you. It's one of "Peter's Laws: The Creed of the Sociopathic Obsessive Compulsive", which probably tells you more about me than you wanted to know!

I started "The Goblet of Fire" last night...I suspect it will be as addictive as the LOTR series...:o]

Is it generally this quiet here on a Friday night, or does everyone else have lives?

I have no life.
And if it weren't for my trip to Vegas the first week of the month, I wouldn't have the HP series either. My daughter gave me the first five books, saying. "No one reads these, so you may as well have them."
Woo-hoo!
All hard-bound!

I guess the allure of Free Republic is that it's like a library where you're allowed to talk.
I'd probably read more, but it makes my fingers itch.

Really?
Hmpf. Fancy that. I wonder what that means....

I haven't been doing as much reading in the past couple of years as I used to do.

My son can not stand the sound of paper, especially the sound of pencils on paper.
He nearly failed grade 3 because of it.
Now he does everything on the computer, and there's no problem.
Go figure!

I try to read SOMEthing every night, as it helps me to gauge where I am in CFIDS...if I can't remember the last paragraph I read, I give up.
HP has (thankfully!) kept my interest, and I can at least follow the story line. Whether I remember it tomorrow or not is another thing...so far, so good! :o]

Wow. That sounds like me when CFIDS is active. Give him a hug for me and tell him he's not alone!

"Now he does everything on the computer" I often recall ruefully the guys in High Schol who were unwilling to take the typing course, perhaps thinking that secretarial skills were for ... secretaries.
What a shock it must have been for them to realize that all of their jobs now involve communicating using the computer.
But it isn't typing, it's keyboarding.

Thanks Face.
I'll tell him.
He's managed to overcome it by using a keyboard instead of paper. I, OTOH, need paper, and am completely unable to computerize my life.
He resisted typing classes for the longest time, but when he found MSN chat,......lol, you should see his fingers work now!
His mind was never the problem, it was more to do with getting the information out, and now that he can, he's doing well.
:)

I know what "getting the information out" is like, too. Or, rather, lack of ability to do it.
My 70 WPM mean absolutely nothing when it comes to being able to communicate.
He's doing great. He has a great mom who believes in him, and that's half the battle!
*hugs*
