Did you hear about the tavern/restaurant in Ohio ?
They had a sign that stated... "For Service, Speak English" It's not PC, so they are in big trouble.
Gosh darn nanny state. Ugh. With whom are they in trouble?
One wonders, would they have been in trouble if they had instead put up a sign that says something like: "Nobody here knows any language other than English"? (Or even "No habl[emus?] Espan~ol. Kein Deutsch hier. Chan eil Gai\dhlig againn. Ribbi't non.")

They had a sign that stated... "For Service, Speak English" See, you get in trouble when you're too obvious. The owner could have told all the employees to look stupid and repeat, "I beg your pardon?" if a customer addressed them in any language other than English :-).

Maybe, but we might discover from the recent Southwest Airlines vulgar-tee-shirt incident that certain un-PC reasons for exclusion might somehow not hold water constitutionally, though very similar PC reasons will continue to do so.
The Law today is not bound up with what it says, but rather with who is recognized as an authority to be saying what it ways.
