AROUND 150 people gathered at the United Nations (UN) building in Manama yesterday to demand the withdrawal of US and British forces from Iraq.
The anti-war demonstration also featured art and photography exhibitions highlighting war atrocities in Iraq.
The event, organised by the National Committee in Support of Iraqi People in Bahrain, is part of a global campaign initiated in the US by the New York-based United for Peace and Justice group.
The demonstration was held to express the solidarity of Bahraini activists and organisations with the Iraqi people by calling for the withdrawal of US and UK forces from Iraq.
The campaign has so far gained support from anti-war protesters in capitals across Europe and the Arab region.

Wonder how much these folks are paid to be anti-war activists?

I'd like to ship each one of those antiwar pukes to iraq and make them help out if they feel they can do better.
Ping! Pass along to Lori, please. Is this the same group that meets at the church by me? Isn't that against the division of church/state?
Well of course not! They were driven to these things by evil America.
BTW: Some of these anti war activists are indeed paid. They recruit people all of the time, and pay them.
Well, crap!!!
There goes our 2nd honeymoon in Manama...
I know. It pi$$es me off that most "journalists" don't bother to tell their audience that.
150?? That's all they've could mustered up after all the free publicity from the presstitutes...GALORE!!! BAWHAHAHHAHAHHAHA! DAMN THEM!!
Why can't Manama be the new HQ for the UN? They can leave New York, take their twisted-revolver-barrel sculpture with them, and put it there. We can blow them a giant raspberry, stop funding them, and let them die the slow, miserable death they deserve. At the very least, it'll put an end to foreign dignitaries driving around drunk in New York with machine guns, something so reprehensible to the average U.S. citizen that the mere thought could put it/her/him in jail for twenty years. At the very best, it'll get those corrupt, useless fools out of our country, and save ourselves tons of money in the bargain that would be much better spent building homes for the helpless sheep that have been so heavily indoctrinated by government schools that they no more want to help themselves than can.
Different group but similar goals.
