Today the President went to The headquarters of FEMA to be briefed on the relief efforts underway for Hurricane Rita , he also awarded Korean War era veteran Corporal Tibor "Ted" Rubin the Medal Of Honor for his bravery while in captivity at a Chinese POW camp, President Bush then headed for NORTHCOM headquarters to oversee the the coordination between Federal, State and Local officials as the Hurricane lands ashore

He gets criticized for staying away during Katrina and now he gets criticized for wanting to be more involved in the initial stages with Rita he cannot win. I have not heard it said but I suspect it has that he is only doing this because it is his home State and his oil buddies.

Poor Dubya, he looks just plain worn out...I don't think any President since Lincoln has faced so much turmoil in office....prayers for him indeed.

I don't know how the President puts up with yapping Jackals in the Press. I often find myself screaming the answers to their questions for the President in the way I wish he would, but my version includes foul language directed to the reporter and his/her immediate family :-).

I wish Dubya would cut David Gregory off and say ....

I don't get much of a social life. Between classes, homework, and working, I hardly get a chance to breathe. The only social thing I do is Canterbury which is an Episcopalian college-age group. This weekend I have two tests to study for (they're both on Monday), a Spanish paper to write (due next week), a poli sci project to start (due next week), and a history research paper to work on (that's not due until November).
