That's low. How did they miss the fact that
I did one the night Ophelia hit and I don't drink.
they are only going to repair it again, and pump out that area - again.
And a good splat on your windshield. In my previous post I meant to put "eyes" in quotes. The orange/red isn't their eyes, but a part of their upper thorax.
Exactly, save the money NO is hopeless.
Okay so are the folks on the interstate guilty of being panicky nonthinkers? Was there a better way or is the system just in need of a major overhaul? This running-out-of-gas-after-20-hrs-in-your-car nonsense puts people in jeopardy having to rescue you before the storm.
Y'know, she's not really THAT good-looking...but put her in a baseball cap and a T-shirt and no makeup and it does wonders. Go figure.
Or are we all just sad and have no lives? :)
(And yes, I'm VERY happily married, to a FReeper with a little FReeper on the way. But that doesn't mean I don't have an appreciative eye for, uh, nice cloud formations. Yeah. That's it.)

I am afraid I have as much respect for KPRC News "Screw" Houston as I do for the National Enquirer.
Sooooo hot. Want to touch the hiney!
Good CYA, Moose (wink)
If I were out there, I's sure appreciate it if you discretely drove up to me and my family and asked me to come to your home with you, and saw that your neighbor did the same for the family next to me. Lufkins should open every available space for shelter...churches, every school, etc.
Buses are now patrolling the roads picking up the stranded. The National Guard is working their way down the roads with adapted fuel bowser trucks trying to fuel people up.
Nobody who wants to go is going to get left behind. Nobody.
I'm betting on your FRONT yard for the impact point.
Me too, my friends kept telling me we have to go now, I thought I'd wait a little longer, wanted to have a real good idea of what Rita was going to do before making my move, I started leaving 11am and after seeing the traffic, I decided that on the side of the road was not where I was going to ride out Rita. Back home now hoping to avoid an eye wall hit.
Forecaster Joe Bastardi on FOX news last night was insistent that the storm would turn back to the west.
Wrong again, Joe.
When she opens that liberal pie hole (to talk) she becomes ugly real fast.
The one about the pre-positioned reporters?
why aren't they using the helo sandbag drop on that levee break?
---->
Would you believe... "gale force winds"?
It's a bit different situation there now, than the day after Katrina hit.
They could have sandbags all day. It's the harnesses that carrys the sandbags that's the problem. Once the the bag is dropped, they can't get the harness back.
Heh, they're saying now that we may not get any rain. Go figure. Yesterday we got all ready for the river to flood.
