Ping.
I got the pleasure to watch that interview.
I was actually LAUGHING at Donahuckster and hoping that the Bloviator (great wrestling gimmick I think) would hit him.
Hey I really liked your post. I have been thinking for some time that Sacrifice is one of the most beautiful things a person can do. Shame so many have lost touch with what a virtue it is.
And my big fear is that in all the world, China is perhaps the only country that would still consider a war to be acceptable if casulty rates were kept below, let's say, the 20 million mark.
We'd cut and run long before China registered any pain.
you couldn't strategically fight the Chinese on a one to one basis....
It would be an interesting fight with the chicoms that is for sure
Yeah I have a thought. It isn't original and I don't remember who said it but it bears repeating here:
Pacifists are parasites who live off of the sins of others.
Fantastic post. I wish someone would do the research and show the percentages of Americans who die by accident each year vs. the percentage of deaths in Iraq of all who have rotated through.
I know this has been said before here, but thank God we weren't this America during WW2. They knew sacrifice and did it proudly. Imagine for a moment asking this bunch to have ration cards, to give up things for the war effort! They would go ballistic. In fact, they are now for no reason. Sure, we mourn each death, but they sign up knowing this. They believe in this cause. I am appalled and frankly scared of Americans these days. I don't know who they are.
Excellent. I will be saving this for future use, like right now.
Thanks for posting, I'm cutting, pasting and e-mailing everyone! I, like you, find it difficult to watch and listen to these idiots that don't get it, can't fathom it, and will stop at nothing short of making a@@@s of themselves while trying to explain their idiot beliefs. I wish interviewers, (BOR, etc.) would argue the case that those "kids" sign up as adults. We don't send anybody without their consent to be sent. Liberals make no sense to me except non-sense. I fear for our military angels who "walk the talk" without complaint, but yet, here are all these limo-libs spouting the worst hate-speach toward conservatives, our troops, our President....
Sorry, rant done.
All one need do is to ask old Phil,
"Yes, O.K., and how many Iraqi civilians have been killed by the insurgents and the terrorists (15,000),
"and how many Iraqi civilians have been killed just for trying to vote or just for trying to join the police force, or just because they publicly denounced the terrorists, or just because they are Shia and not Sunni, or just because they are not former Baathists???"
"How many Mr. Phil? And what did THEY die for? You really think they died for us and not for their own chance for a democratic government?"
"You really think our troops are dieing for oil and not for those Iraqis?"
"Because if that's what you think Phil, then you are a bigger idiot than I always thought you were."
Made a slight goof on Antietam info (table and text right below it contradict each other). Even so, it outpaces the Iraq War either way.
Well said...
"Everyone dies, few get to do it for FREEDOM.
Heard that on Sean one day, need to put it on a bumper sticker.
When it comes to political leadership, both parties are found lacking. The left stands, these days for nothing; and the right these days sure look and smell like the left used to.
All the leftists are a bunch of sniveling cowardly girly men. If you confront one of them with the truth of your convictions they will melt like a wet dishrag. Treat them like the morons that they are.
They are all in favor of killing innocent unborn children, because that is done for the convenience of the mother. They oppose capital punishment, because that is killing with a moral purpose.
They have no problem with 60,000 automobile deaths, because those are accidental. They cannot abide by one death, or one killing, by our soldiers in battle, for that is done with a moral purpose.
What they abhor, above all else, is acting on moral purpose, for such is a grievous violation of their "religion".
The greater the moral purpose, the more they hate it.
