Take cover NOW; that storm is moving at 55 mph, and if you hear it, it is pretty much too late.
Go outside and take a picture of it and post it here.
Sheesh....
I'm in Prairieville.....
Please keep us posted.
It's not blame to try and figure out if the bus blew up because of a cigarette. It's a REASON. When something like this happens they inevitably try to figure out why it happened so they can reduce the chances of it happening in the future.
It takes only half the people for contraflow as it would for your plan.
Texas does NOT have municipality stickers for our vehicles.
LOL!
Take care AM...my thoughts are with you and your beautiful children...
Absolutely right! All the "GET OUT NOW!" screaming that has gone on has caused mass hysteria. I too rode out Alicia in League City. It was actually rather exciting when the eye passed over us. We broke the rules (young and stupid) and went outside to get a bit of fresh air because being stuck inside a boarded up house without AC during a hurricane gets to be rather miserable. The worst of it for you guys that stayed will be the power outtages.
No time for lowercase, see the ****
* THE TORNADO IS EXPECTED TO BE NEAR...

There's one on the ground?
My understanding is the system is "capable" of producing a tornado.....
The people with the brains have all gone to Texas to get ready for Rita--leaving behind the Louisianians to watch New Orleans and the levees. And we know what went down the last time that happened.
Listen just in case, and get ready. See my previous post.
Get off line and take careof yourself..
Houston scanner link..bulletin just told all units they are now in EMS-5 (?) management (10:23a local)
I appreciate that, AR. I'll be freeping here tonight until the lights go out or something bad breaks. I'm more concerned about the folks east of us.
I have a cousin in Lake Charles who lives south of I-10. He got out to Baton Rouge last night, but his house in far more peril than mine.
I'm just reported what the weather guys are showing us on radar. Read the latest discussion report from the NHC. Warm eddy DID NOT re-intensify Rita.
Okay. I'm sorry to hear about this (fellow born and raised Louisianan here) but at least there isn't one on the ground yet. Take care, please.
Go. Now. Take care of you and yours.
Prayers up.
