JERSEY CITY BLOODBATH
1010 WINS ^ | Sep 21, 2005 2:10 pm US

Posted on 09/21/2005 12:19:56 PM PDT by Calpernia

A mother and two of her children were found stabbed to death on Wednesday after police were called to their apartment by her injured son, who survived a stabbing rampage that took place at least a day earlier, authorities said.

Authorities said they had no suspects, but Hudson County Prosecutor Edward DeFazio said the stabbings appeared to stem from a family dispute over money. He said authorities wanted to speak with an uncle of the children, but that no arrest warrants had been issued and the person was not considered a suspect.

Only one person is believed responsible for the killings, which probably took place late Monday or early Tuesday, DeFazio said.

``The bodies were found together in one room. It was an extremely bloody scene,'' he said.

The surviving boy, believed to be 8- or 9-years-old, was stabbed 10 times and lapsed in and out of consciousness before managing to dial 9-1-1 at about 11:14 a.m. Wednesday, authorities said.

``The child was seriously injured, regained consciousness, and called police,'' DeFazio said.

The boy was taken to Jersey City Medical Center. His condition was not immediately available, but police talked to him when they arrived at the apartment and expected him to survive.

The mother, her approximately 13-year-old daughter and a son of about 6 were slain, authorities said. DeFazio said identification of the dead was awaiting notification of next of kin, who had yet to be found.

DeFazio said the father of the children lives in Jersey City but is not believed to be involved in the killings. Authorities did not know the status of that man's relationship with the mother.

What was the connection, I don't remember. I do remember that she was the lawyer for a Muslim terrorist - wasn't it the blind sheik, now in prison? And she was arrested for assisting him? Was she ever convicted?

I bet if we could see underneath the veneer we'd be pretty sickened.

Oh, sorry.

The translator for the prosecution in the Lynn Stewart trial was the Coptic Family's cousin.

It was a close family relation. The translator was from Jersey City.

ABC was the only news source that reported it.

The Coptic Family was killed during that trial.

That never sat right with me.

Thanks. My ba-aad memory. Right - the cousin or something was the translator, and the family were Coptic Christians who had been sparring with Muslims on a chat site.

IIRC, the poor victims were pretty sliced.

Just makes my blood chilled. I don't know, Cal, things can't go on like this forever.

Better chance of winning if Republican candidates become real conservatives. Not that they're all bad - I don't expect perfection. But we could use some real courage here. Appeasing wimps are starting to make me want to hurl. I expect Democrats to be appeasing weasels and leftist perverts. But it sure would be nice to have a viable alternative.

Of course, I live on the west coast so I'm a little bitter.

Night, Cal. You're up late!

Think of something inspiring before retiring, that's my motto.

Everything will work out in the end.

Update, still not many details:

It's happened before in Jersey City
Thursday, September 22, 2005
By CRAIG GARRETSON

The brutal slayings discovered yesterday in Greenville evoke memories of three previous slayings of families in Jersey City.

ARMANIOUS FAMILY

On the morning of Jan. 14, police found the bodies of Hossam Armanious, 47; his wife, 37-year-old Amal Garas; and their daughters, 16-year-old Sylvia and 9-year-old Monica. Police were called after relatives said they hadn't heard from the family for three days.

Armanious and Garas were born in Egypt and were Coptic Christians, and some believed the slayings had been motivated by religious hatred. However, police say the slayings were the result of a botched robbery attempt, and on March 4, the family's upstairs tenant, Edward McDonald, and Hamilton Sanchez were arraigned on four counts of felony murder. Each has pleaded not guilty.

MURDER IN MARION

At 7 a.m. on July 30, 2002, two young boys, ages 6 and 2, told a neighbor their mother was dead. Police entered the home, in Jersey City's Marion section, and found the bodies of their mother, 30-year-old Sharon Yassim; grandmother, 49-year-old Bernadette Seajatan; and aunt, 29-year-old Marlyn Hassan, who was pregnant with twins. Each had been stabbed many times, police said.

Hassan's husband, Alim Hassan, then 31, was arrested on the night of the murders as he tried to enter Canada. Hassan, a citizen of Guyana, later pleaded guilty to two counts of murder and one count of aggravated manslaughter, admitting he stabbed each woman more than 20 times.

EXECUTION-STYLE

A woman and two girls were found shot to death in their Lafayette Gardens apartment on Feb. 7, 1994.

Barbara Wilson-Watterman, 27; her daughter, 4-year-old Bianca Yolanda Wilson; and a family friend, 13-year-old Felicia Council, were each shot in the head and left in different rooms, police said.

Nothing was apparently stolen from the home and there were no signs of a struggle or forced entry, police said. No one was ever arrested in connection with the slayings.

"This has all the characteristics of an execution," a police official said at the time.

How horrible. It certainly sounds as though some of these crimes have more than meets the eye as to the motive.

"Hassan" a citizen of Guyana? Isn't that in South America? Was he born there? If so, where were his parents from? Or was the Guyana citizenship just paper?

So many execution style murders. I wonder if any cops/DAs are actually doing real investigations. Now I remember those arrested in the Coptic family murder were neighbors and the crimes was supposedly a robbery. Robbery my ***. Sorry for the crudeness but that just seems an absurdity.

Who the heck knows about Hassan's citizenship. Jersey City has such a bad history of selling IDs that Jersey City Birth Certicates are no longer honored.

If you were born in Jersey City, and are a legit citizen, you now have to go to Trenton NJ and have a new State issued birth certificate.

No kidding!

Relative Charged In Jersey City Bloodbath

(1010 WINS) (JERSEY CITY) Authorities on Thursday charged a man with stabbing his sister and two of her children to death, and critically wounding a third child.

Police were seeking Dwayne Wilson, 38, who was charged with three counts of murder in the deaths of his sister, Marcy Wilson, and two of her children, D'Artagnia Wilson, 12, and Dequan Wilson, 11.

He faces an attempted murder charge for a knife attack on his 9-year-old nephew, Paris Wilson, who survived the attack and identified his uncle as the killer, DeFazio said.

Authorities were searching for Wilson locally, as well as in Virginia, Florida and the Carolinas, where he had been known to stay in the past, DeFazio said.

The 9-year-old underwent emergency surgery Thursday at Jersey City Medical Center for internal injuries, and was listed in critical condition.

Authorities said the boy drifted in and out of consciousness for about 24 hours after the attack before mustering the strength to call 911 on Wednesday.

Police responding to the call found the bodies of his mother, a girl about 13 years old, and a boy of about 6 in their apartment.

Officers were able to question the child and corroborate crucial aspects of what he told them, leading them to issue arrest warrants Thursday for Wilson, the prosecutor said.

DeFazio said the investigation is centering on the theory that Wilson and his sister may have argued over money _ as little as $20 _ before the fatal confrontation.

``We think it was over money, but it seems to be developing that there was some tension in this relationship between brother and sister,'' he said.

So sickening. To kill over money - children.

People need to be taught how to be human. The killer may look human, but doesn't have a human heart.

My first thought was of that Coptic family. I wondered if this happened in the same town. Will you try to remember to ping me if you get additional news?
