Harry Reid: Priscilla Owen Nomination Would Be "Poke in the Eye With Sharp Stick"
Washington Times

I just heard on the radio that Harry Reid was quoted in the Washington Times as saying that the nomination of any of the 10 fillibustered judges would be a "poke in the eye with a sharp stick."
This was seen as a warning for Bush not to nominate Priscilla Owen to the Supreme Court.

Big mistake on the democrats part. They have signaled that they have no intention of ever voting yes on a Republican nominess. IMO, it leaves the door wide open for the President to nominate the most conservative of nominess. You're right. If Reid can't vote for Roberts, he won't vote for anyone Bush nominates. Reid and his buddies are obsessed with abortion. It's a sick thing.

The object of the effort is to make the political opposition powerless.
Making them blind by poking them in the eye with a sharp stick is an acceptable tactic.

Sounds like a stroke of genius to me. How pathetically ignorant of our Ratified Constitutional Republic must be the voters who keep sending these ba$+ards to muck up our government..."Out of the mainstream" = "against the flow of history" mean a non-socialist judicial tyrant ruling us with impunity beyond Article III Sec. 1's term of office.
It is far past time to impeach and remove from office with loss of all future pay and allowances (Quite a feathered nest they.) of those blackrobes who nullify and rewrite our RATIFIED Constitution with or without citations of foreign law and cultural trends - they lack the lawful authority to amend our Constitution.
What each of these Politburo tyrants need is a bilateral enucleation (the removal of the entire eyeball), if a simple stick makes them squirm; when the vote is taken, the eyes have it.

What do the democrats have against Women on the court? Are they Sexist biggots? Or is it they have a problem with Blacks on the court? Are they racists?
I don't get it.

Sounds like an invitation.
(I'd rather Janice Rogers Brown, myself, but maybe she'd be like a poke with a sharp stick in the other eye.)

A pointed stick in the eye got rid of the Cyclops. It might rid us of Reid in Congress.
heh, which is why bush should appoint janice rogers brown... it'd be a poke in the eyes with a forked stick.
