They should try being a public school teacher. I work through the day w/o any breaks. I also work weekends w/o additional pay. So the Wally World folks have it pretty good in my opinion.

"I will prove the reason they did this was for the God Almighty dollar," Furth said in his opening statement.

I contend the lawsuit was initiated for the same reason!

But I thought anyone who worked at Walmart couldn't even afford to buy food. I thought working there was some kind of punishment or sumthin.

Have them pull there Time cards.
They have to Clock in and out for lunch, but not for breaks. I bet Walmart is not getting the money back for the extra long breaks these people took?

Griping about lunch breaks is a sign of desperation.

Lots of people work through lunch, and eat on the fly.

I smell the AFL-CIO in this.

Wal-Mart impregnated my sister.

I'll never shop there again.

"Lawyers representing about 116,000 former and current Wal-Mart Stores Inc. employees in California..."

I wonder how they got them all into the office...

Lets see.

66 million dollars divided by 166 thousand employees equals: 397.59 per employee

Of course I'm forgetting the Attorney's fees which should come to one third of the settlement (22 million)

So, revised:

22 million for the lawyers and 265.06 for each individual employee.

I worked 13 hours straight today. Patients to see, no such thing as a lunch break!

I survived. I kept a protein bar and drink within reach, and I blew through the day.

Best yet, I get paid for it all! What are these people whining about?

Fred Furth is representing those in this class action suit for the "Almighty Dollar" he wants his 1/3 of the $66 million claim or $22 million plus interest. In the end if this class action suit is won the Ex-Walmart employees will get $10-15 a piece while the lawyers will walk a way with the kings ransom.

Wal-Mart cashiers can't work for more than five hours without at least a half-hour lunch break. The computers will not allow you to log in after being clocked in for five hours without first taking a minimum half hour lunch break - and hour lunch breaks are the norm for eight-hour work days. If you try to log back in, the time clock won't let you.

I'm curious about these "rude and unfriendly" WMT employees everyone here is talking about. At local stores here, if any employee is intentionally rude or unfriendly, they get reprimanded immediately or fired. I have seen cashiers cry because customers are rude to them and they can't respond in any way. Crabby, argumentative customers take their petty frustrations out on defenseless cashiers and other store employees all the time. If certain stores have rude employees, that is simply a reflection of that particular community, not of WMT as a whole.

The liberals and unions are attacking WMT any way they can. Why? Because WMT is against them, and they know it. Rooting against WMT is like rooting for Dan Rather.

Our Wally's forces young children to work 16-18 hours a day without any breaks and no food! I have even heard they force them to work heavy equipment and if they fall under the treads they just throw the bodies in the dumpster. Jeez, does anyone buy this BS!

The suit in Alameda County Superior Court is among about 40 cases nationwide alleging workplace violations...

The MSM writes up every allegation when it has to do with Walmart. These union wannabes might be making the whole thing up. Anyone can allege, let's wait and see if anything comes of this.
