Whoever the nominated in this guys category I want to win! That's about the only reason I'm watching...
I remember him and Stephen Fry even earlier from "A Bit of Fry and Laurie", the sketch comedy series they did together. It was really funny.
Thanks for that information...
You are so right about Hugh Lauries character in Sense and Sensibility...but he was right to be acerbic to his wife and mother in law, because, well, they could be awfully silly...but when help was truly needed, ,he was the man to go to...
I will have to look for 'Jeeves and Wooster'....
>>>She makes my middle aged heart go pitter patter.
An inspiration for impure thought indeed...as is Marg Helgenberger...for me anyway... :)
No idea what became of HLL, sadly. She was banned, but I don't know the circumstances of her banning.

Are these two ladies the only evacuees to attend the Emmys? Was there a contest or something? Just wondering.
Woman and ping me if you want to talk about me-that is FR nice but you are trying to find a way to watch a looser under. It is all over .
I can still see Blackadder having to reconstruct Samuel Johnson's dictionary...
No aplogies needed...glad for any information about Hugh Laurie and any films or series that he has been in...I am just glad to find so many of his fans here...
That outfit is just TACKY!!
ZING!...That one's over my head.
Is she a Terry casualty?
Does anyone actually watch Boston Legal?? I thought that ABC took them off the air for about half a season in favor of Grey's Anatomy. And of course, Kiefer should have won.
As for shockers, I'm stunned that Desperate Housewives didn't win the comedy Emmy. It seems like the cast of Lost feels that they're the "ugly stepsisters" over at ABC (ie they don't get the bonuses, etc. that the lovely ladies of Wisteria Lane get), so now they have something to crow about.
I saw him on the tonight show last week, and he has a thick THICK British accent.
He ought to get an award for being so convincing that you dont realize he isn't an American.
are they those tennis sisters or cross dressers
Wolverine of course.
House is one of my favorite shows. I understand Deadwood is excellent too. But I guess "ethically challanged" James Spader character most fits the typical member of the Emmy academy. "24" is mean to Muslims so I suppose that was out of the question.
Her posts are still up on the forum, but clicking on them shows she was banned. Last post near the end of June this year. Too bad; one of longest FReepers, since 1998.
Nope. I think her jokes seem contrived. She's not spontaneous. Too rehearsed and nervous.
When I first saw Hugh Laurie on House, I had remembered him from the only other time I had seen him, which was in Sense and Sensibility...I could not figure out if he was an American putting on a British accent, or a Brit, putting on an American accent...It was not until I did a bit of reading up about him, that I got the full story...
But you are right...he does a perfect American accent...
Never. His character actually treats Muslim terrorists with the brutality they deserve, and is effective in stopping attacks. Liberals in Hollywood prefer the Clinton/Reno/Gorelick approach of allowing attacks to occur and giving Muslims a total pass.
Thats too bad about her banning...seems like many old timers have wound up being banned...
