I see your stand alone thread got pulled. Please keep posting your insights here. You were very accurate with Katrina.

Too hard to say yet. Some of the better models are flipping back and forth between western LA and the Houston area, another good one says Brownsville, some of the better mets are saying it will curve into N. TX/W. LA, others say it will head straight west to Corpus or Brownsville.

If it is indeed Katrina part 2, should be interesting to see how the local officials (read: Nagin & Blanco) handle the situation. My internal BS meter says they'll drop the ball and blame everyone else but themselves.

Would storm surge be covered under Hurricane insurance or flood insurance.

I bought my XJ used less than two years ago and have put over 100,000 miles on it since. I wouldn't give it up for anything - - - except another Jeep.

Yeah...thats what Im thinking too LOL LOL! Im a bit edgy after watching the Katrina debacle. Before it hit, I was on the verge of saying "bring it here! Texas can take it!" After seeing what happened, Im not so cocky.

We were assured when we bought the place that Oyster Creek was well out of the floodzone. There might be more to worry about once the storm goes inland and dumps rain in areas of the Brazos upstream.
