Michael Schiavo is co-writing a book with author Michael Hirsh to tell his side of the end-of-life case that divided much of the country. Schiavo's wife Terri suffered a brain injury in 1990 that left her in what some doctors called a "persistent vegetative state." She died March 31 after a bitter court battle between her husband and her parents.
Hirsh expects the 280-page book, "Terri: the Truth," to be available just before the first anniversary of Terri's death. Dutton Publishing publicity manager Jean Anne Rose confirmed that the company is publishing the book in March.
Michael Schiavo's decision to remove a feeding tube that kept his brain-damaged wife alive alienated him from her parents, drew a Congressional intervention and even prompted criticism from President Bush.
Hirsh, 62, is a Vietnam veteran and a former Los Angeles television producer who has written three books about the military.
Of course, you cannot deny that by his own words and deeds, Micheal Schiavo is a sadist, a liar, someone who should never have been made guardian.

As an author myself, I can tell you that his workload will be killer.
All I saw about Jodi's mother dying was a newspaper article. The media avoided the topic like the plague. She was diagnosed with cancer, and three months later she died in Michael's home. I know that sometimes people do die quickly after a diagnosis, but I think it's rare. I also think it's strange that the media refused to report on it, when it was such a hot news topic at the time.

As painful as losing your Grandfather is, you'll always have the comfort of knowing he was cared for. He stopped eating and drinking because he was dying, not the other way around. Nobody was arrested for trying to put ice chips on his lips. Some people try to switch the meaning of dying naturally with being murdered. Up is down, and down is up. You know better, and you were there for your Grandfather. He got the care that was best for him.
Fine, then stick to the truth. You have a choice. I'm just saying that if you choose to falsely accuse others of lying, don't expect those of us who know better to fall for it. When God said "Thou shalt not bear false witness against your neighbor" He wasn't including telling ugly truths in with lying. There is a difference.

come on now. I know who was teaching her...they were kicked off the visitor's list. Terri was denied and deprived for years.
Yes, no one was arrested for putting ice chips on my grandfather's lips. We all took turns putting a wet washcloth in his mouth so he would get some drops of water while dying. It is a shame we live in a world where putting a moist towel one someone's lips would get us arressted.
