FReepers, in the upcoming days please monitor very closely (at least a few times a day) the Itinerary link for the caravan and the stops on their trek to DC:
http://www.moveamericaforward.org/index.php/DailyFile/itinerary_for_national_bus_tour/
When the specific times/places are announced for the stop in your state/city call into your local talk radio stations one or two days before the caravan stop.
I will be doing this for the Cheyenne and Denver stops.
I made an email contact with a radio station in Cheyenne about three days ago and they are going to promote this big time leading upto the visit at the Capitol steps in Cheyenne next Wednesday and they will be doing a live interview with Deborah Johns on the air after the mini-rally.
We can get at least an extra few hunded folks or more at each stop just by calling our local talk radio and mentioning the specifics on the air one or two days in advance. Most caravan stops are going to be in relative close proximity to where people work in downtown areas of each city.
Again, please watch the Itinerary link religiously and get involved with calling into into local radio. This is the most effective way to reach as many folks as possible short of running advertising on local TV and radio, plus it's free of charge.
Nevada folks call in Monday morning locally as the Reno stop is already announced.
Salt Lake City and Utah folks the visit there is tentative so keep close watch for the latest itinerary update on Sunday or early Monday morning.
I will be calling in to KOA 850am (Mike Rosen, Gunny Bob Newman and Jon Caldara) and KHOW 630am (Dan Caplis) on Monday or Tuesday to let folks know about the Cheyenne and Denver stops on Wednesday.
ACTION ALERT for FReepers in Lincoln and Omaha Nebraska, Des Moines Iowa, Rockford and Chicago Illinois, Indianapolis Indiana, Cincinnati - Dayton and Columbus Ohio, Wheeling West Virginia, Pittsburgh - Shanksville and Harrisburg Pennsylvania, Baltimore Maryland and finally all local talk radio in states not on the tour route within reasonable driving distance to Washington DC (North Carolina, Delaware, Virginia, New Jersey, etc.)
Also, please take some time to email your local newspapers, TV and radio station news departments. (see the email I'm using below)
p.s. I'll be in Cheyenne and the Denver stops taking pictures of both caravan stops.
