Dear Amy: I'd like to be in a relationship again, but I never even get asked out (unless you count frisky 85-year-olds and drunks at the corner bar). I'm a 32-year-old woman who's happy, sociable, and attractive. (I paid for college by modeling and continue to take care of myself.) I'm second-in-command at a big company, financially secure, and own a beautiful home. How can I meet men in general, and more specifically, men I'd actually want to date?

Actually, I like women. But I've seen/heard too much and been privy to conversations between women ( you know, the ones where they don't think men are in earshot ).
So, I am naturally cynical. I suspect there are a few guys, when they meet a woman they're interested in, think to themselves, " wow, what a nice catch ", begin also considering , " yeah, but they hang with all those 30-something divorced harridans. Won't be long before they spoil her as well ", and move on.
'Chopped liver' in the article is right out. The immediate give away was the 'model' bit. If that were mentioned in passing in a social situation, I'd immediately be looking elsewhere. I suspect there are a lot of guys who would do the same--unless, of course, they're not interested in knowing her name at breakfast the next day.
On another thread a while back, a guy mentioned a girl he was seeing whom he once caught retrieving his used condom for that purpose.
He then started carrying around a small bottle of hot sauce and putting some in the condom when he tossed it in the bathroom trash

This one made me laugh out loud. I think my husband (we were just dating at the time) fell hopeless in love with me when I agreed to pick up the shotgun and try trap shooting with him. I think it also helped when I shot a 17 on the first go round..

Yes, there could easily be. You are, as they say, a babe. (Nice dog, too; a real dog, not one of those silly little foo-foo dogs.) I'm just saying that the odds are, sadly, against it.
For what it's worth, I think that men who hit on women half their age are just as screwed up as men who make a habit of hitting on (and sponging off of) older women.
