Good first-person account of the latest Sheehan moonbattery.

Note to mods: I'm linking to Del Vecchio's FrontPageMagazine interview from a couple of days ago since this isn't online anywhere, and the forum software demands a link. This information came to me directly from Del.

the systems of camps his grandfather died in were shut down by Allied troops who never heard of alternate means of resolving disputes.

Thank you, vets, now and forever.

We even had a nice personal discussion and hoped to get a beer together some time.

When NC Vietnam Veterans Memorial was dedicated, I attended with a Vietnam Veterans Group. We took over a floor of a hotel and we ran out of beer.

Someone said he would make a beer run and began to take up a collection.

He got about $400 in ten minutes.

Thanks for the excellent on-site reporting....and for all your other efforts. In an obviosu, thougth perverse way..Cimdy will do wonders for the GOP, as she drags the Dems far to the left, and off the cliff..It will be very interesting to see what happens when she gets to DC..I'd wager that most Dems avoid her like she was, well, the water in New Orleans..

NC tour continued (Fayetteville)

A split off from the main tour (about 10) came into Fayetteville today. It was planned for one of them to be on news talk WFNC 640 at the 9:00 hour. He failed to show (told the station that they were running late at breakfast). He did call in about 9:40 and lost his temper by 9:50.

Their group was to have the eastern half of the Market House circle and the counter protesters were to have the western (shade) half of the circle. The protest times were from 12:00-1:00.

A good bunch of the counter protesters (me included) were on hand by 11:30 while most of the bus people remained near the bus. They set up their show just before 12:00 and packed up at 1:00 and moved out. That was the time and they were punctual. Most of us started drifting off around 1:30.

The news/photog/TV people made it hard to get a good count but I would say we had them by about 10 or so. The middle of a traffic circle was not a good place for either side. Most of the drivers were more worried about getting in and out of the two lane circle.

A driver would read a few signs they liked but by the time they could honk the horn they were around into the other side of the circle. Got a few birds flipped our way but mostly thumbs ups and horn honks. We noted some people making more than one circle and giving us a bigger wave and honk the second time.

The Cindy S protesters were a real unhappy looking bunch.

Mama Moonbat: "Occupied New Orleans"

Mother Sheehan jumps the shark, at (where else?) MichaelMoore.com. (Hat tip: protein wisdom.)

I don’t care if a human being is black, brown, white, yellow or pink. I don’t care if a human being is Christian, Muslim, Jew, Buddhist, or pagan. I don’t care what flag a person salutes: if a human being is hungry, then it is up to another human being to feed him/her. George Bush needs to stop talking, admit the mistakes of his all around failed administration, pull our troops out of occupied New Orleans and Iraq, and excuse his self from power. The only way America will become more secure is if we have a new administration that cares about Americans even if they don’t fall into the top two percent of the wealthiest.

Thanks for the excellent on-site reporting....and for all your other efforts.

Thanks. This isn't my report, though, it's by Del Vecchio, a Vietnam veteran and an expert on the war. Among other things, Del is co-author of Whitewash / Blackwash, an excellent analysis of popular myths and misinformation about the Vietnam War.

Lindbergh knew when to stop being part of the problem and become part of the solution

They're using LINDBERGH as an example of foreign affairs acumen? Don't they realize that Lindbergh was opposed to us fighting the Nazis because he thought they'd win? And Lindbergh's thought conversion came only after December 8,1941......when his request to return to active duty was rejected by Franklin D. Roosevelt "We don't need a guy fighting for us who thinks the other side is unbeatable". Lindbergh makes John Effin Kerry's track record on foreign policy look stellar.

My husband works with Del and he is a great guy. His booklet is wonderful. I was thinking of getting a few from Del to place in "special places" like NC state.

She appeared for about a minute for a NC State rally and then went to Senator Dole's office with about five people. She couldn't get into the building because she didn't have a photo ID. Later, she attended a rally in downtown Raleigh organized by the groups behind her. At the same time, there was a rally at the State Capitol Building of people who supported the troops and the war in Iraq. One woman, who's son-in-law just came back from Iraq said, "Sheehan is emboldening the enemy." By the way she was wearing flip-flops.
