Yeah, but I am sure he did not bother to learn how to land.

This may not be as far-fetched as it seems.

Some years ago a fellow walked into the flight school where I was working and said he wanted to take flying lessons. Fine. But he then said, "I just want lessons in landings. I've figured the rest out for myself."

He did not fly with us so we never knew if he'd just read about flying or had actually tried it by himself.

try Miami...New Orleans....Newark....Atlanta

I can't recall the Miami airport at present, but yes to the other three. They suck, but I'll put Memphis up against ANY of them when it comes to suckage.

This guy seems like too much of an idiot to be a real terrorist. He's probably a wanna-be or just using the stuff to pick up chicks.

But being a 29 y/o college student illegally in the country does raise some flags.

I've read all the posts and agree with,

"This guy should have just disappeared."

No Gitmo, no federal pen, no anything. Just no longer among the population.

The FBI is investigating whether Mahmoud Maawad, 29, had any connection to terrorists.

Unbelievable! This is blatant profiling!

They certainly wouldn't want to do that. Check out this link:

Man on terrorist watch list accused in stabbings (N.C.)

Notice the FBI had him on the Terrorist Watch List and he had run afoul of the law on several occaisions,... yet nothing was done and he was still wandering around free!

Frankly, I think the FBI is about hopeless...

The company reported Maawad to authorities when he didn't pay for $2,500 of merchandise it had delivered, Gulczynski said.

Thank God our enemies are morons.

If you recall, the folks who were responsible for the first attack on WTC, if I recall correctly, were caught because they tried to get the deposit back on the Ryder truck.

Methinks they are called masterminds because we are too slow to catch the freaks. They ain't rocket scientists.
