In my experience, there are two types of young women who are into this sort of thing. The first group are the airheads who engage in bisexuality because they know it will turn men on. They aren't really into women - they just want to entice men. This is starting to become more and more popular, especially at college.

Then there's the second group of women. These are the artsy, liberal, pseudo-intellectual types. Women like this have been engaging in bisexual behavior for a very long time. The ones I have met see this experimentation as very daring and a way to break free from oppressive bourgeoisie moral standards. They also are generally very promiscuous with men, and have a cold unemotional detachment from sex. At a certain point, one becomes so focused on simply having an orgasm that it doesn't matter anymore who gives it to her. Anyway, it will be interesting to see if these types of women will continue to see bisexuality as "daring" now that it's becoming popular with ditzy, girl-next-door, cheerleader types.
