Is the President speech going to be only about the hurricane and the rebuilding?

Lousiana Gov. Kathleen Blanco, right, tries to keep control of her hair from the wind from President Bush's helicopter arrival on the Iwo Jima in New Orleans, Thursday, Sept. 15, 2005. Also watching are from left, Vice Admiral Thad Allen, Lt. Gen. Russ Honore, Secretary of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff, and New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin. Bush will announce a new reconstruction plan Thursday night during a televised address also aimed at mending his image as a strong leader in a time of crisis.. (AP Photo/Susan Walsh)

I hear Mike Gerson wrote the speech, he's the BEST IMHO.

Here is my prediction: President bush will be very calm and look great- like a real leader, he will promise more money than anyone will want to pay and not enough for the Democrats, period.

:-) You're a glutton for punishment, starting a thread like this. I'm not even gonna get worked up tonight. Think I'll go see who's playing football. Because I'm sure even though the speech is still a half hour away that dozens have already said how "that speech sucked" and "Dubya did nothing" or "They used to support President Bush, but this was the last straw..."

Well, Schumer makes my skin crawl...BUT, any thoughts that the liberal Dems would take a united stand against Judge Roberts, in the hopes that they'd be able to break off a couple of RINO votes to defeat the nomination, are now gone. Schumer all but threw in the towel. Works for me.
