Okay, what would you rather have...Slick Willie, biting his lower lip and crying, or President Bush, who though not a rousing speech giver ( though great extemporaneous speaker ! ), and adequate one?
And the president is really caught up in the tragic mess left in the wake of Katrina, he'll be just fine. This is to be an inspiring speech, so he'll be fine; really, he will be.

Is the President speech going to be only about the hurricane and the rebuilding?

I guess you still have electricity...so Ophelia must not be affecting you...which is good news..
Fox news has been hinting at this speech all day, in a sort of negative way for conservatives...

I have a feeling he will say goodbye to his conservative base tonight. Most of us have already said goodbye to him.

repeal - at least - the $24 billion in earmarks in the Transportation Bill, I'm outta here. Great point - "found money" like that twenty dollar bill in your pants out of the dryer.

It's shaping up to be; our fair weather perpetually pi$$ed off unappeasables have already arrived in force.

I think Denny Hastert had a great idea in suggesting that we rebuild, but on higher ground.

You'd think the dems would be scared shi**less. W has more power than any President, than any President ever has from the start of the history of the US. Heck, he can direct hurricanes. Halliburton is nothing compared to the power of W.
