I think Denny Hastert had a great idea in suggesting that we rebuild, but on higher ground.

I do, too. Put all the residential stuff on higher ground, leave the hisorical area, and rebuild the dmaged sections of the port. Works for me...and if New Orleans citizens would think about it, they could come out ahead on this deal. Plus, the new community could have an interesting mix of architectural styles, greenspace, and small shops and restaurants. And the slums would be gone.
