I agree with you, but we have lost any hope of focusing blame where it belongs.

I've worked on his campaigns locally and donated hundreds of dollars to his campaigns. I don't believe you.
Nobody's who's worked for W would bolt from him over this.
Unless they're creeps.

So why aren't we using the hundreds of bilions of pork highway spending to pay for this?
That would be more palatable.

I love Mike too and his wife as well. And the troll would do well to remember that Mike is a soldier and he'd better hope he never meets him in person.

The president should realize that giving the media the remarks beforehand gives them time to pre-judge his performance/message

GW did a very good job. He hit just the right tone. Details, took responsibility, offered hope and presented a vision. Not bad at all.
To: JediForce
It costs money to rebuild entire cities, parishes and towns that have been wiped off the face of the map. The area affected is HUGE.

FREE federal land give aways. $5000 FREE money until you find a job or for kids education. Yeah... "Charities and Churches and Business" that's just a smoke screen for people whose eyes glaze over anytime one of those are mentioned.
What a mess.

I couldn't hear the first part of the speech over the "ch-ching, ch-chings" going off in my head, but he picked up a lot of steam towards the end.

I agree. But that mentality is encouraged by the press, which always wandered around behind Clinton waiting for him to get teary-eyed about something (remember Normandy?), which they took as evidence of his "deep commitment." Yuck.
