You signed up here on September 13th to tell us you think we should let over a million people remain homeless?

I simply will not pay for this. I will go to cash and won't pay.Unless your employer will pay you under the table, you're pretty much screwed.

I agree for the most part.
I think Bush does too.

You have to remember, they are the MINORITY party. They are ruined politically, and every time they open their fat traps, they just make their positions known to the every day joe.

Bill is nailing him.
Thomas says --- neener, neener, neener.
Schumer has been suckered punched by Bill.

Does anyone one else think the damage estimates are absurd? They had some flooding, so what?I personally saw the damage Katrina left in Miami-Dade - power out, trees down, it was a mess over a large area and at that point it was a Cat 1.
"Some flooding" -- talk about absurd!!

If any of you know anybody in the path of previous hurricanes you know the stories of people getting FEMA to write checks for things that needed repairing BEFORE the storms (e.g. new windows, new roofs) and no damage during the declared disaster. I know of a couple instances in both Charlie and Ivan...and without a doubt Andrew was abuse central.

onyx - I see the nail biters are all worried about the money to be spent in the Gulf.
Although corruptions is a huge problem, didn't the president just apoint someone to oversee all the money going to rebuild the affected areas? A solicitor general or someone.
