9 P.M. EDT.
EXCELLENT point! Now many know for the very first time that their 'leaders' are lying to them. The are experiencing the love of one human being for another. Race doesn't enter the picture at all.
There will be changed hearts and changed minds because of this.
I know they are trolls and trolls are not our friends!!
Your are correct God is already being glorified. I have seen it within my own city. I have experienced giving love and compassion to many of the displaced. They had never been talked to much less hugged by a white person. They have seen an outpouring of giving and God's love. Many of the ones I have met are believers, and told me that is what saved them for 6 days stranded without food or water. They have taught me and I hope we have shown them what God's people do for others. It is a great time in the history of our country. President Bush is the man that can lead us on to better and greaner pastures, with or without the help of others in this great land we call the United States of America.
You are one of life's lottery winners.
@@@@
The operative word in the above sentence is YOU!
Because of the determination, etc of your grandparents who suffered excruciating hardship!!!!
So did mine. So did millions of Americans. WE are their beneficiaries.
Oh just found an article apparently WIlliam Jefferson the LA politician with the freezer full of cash is also a "slum lord".
Flux, Ohio's perhaps passing on some tough love? : )
I'm going to stroke you a little. LOL!
It is a very depressing situation-and then, on top of it, to only feel that things will remain the same. I assure you, they won't. Don't forget, there's more than one way to skin a cat.
Some of the MOST fascinating news coming out of NO and LA is that of Pat Robertson's 700 Club. It's good news. I know that's hard to imagine, but there really is good news coming out of NOLA! NOLA is NOT being left to it's own devices, there are many, many people there, right now, changing lives for the better, planting little seeds to grow a better life for this area.
So much has changed in the years following Floyd, here. Not just our landscape... but lives, hearts, and souls grew from the love, compassion and generosity of those who came to help. It's really that simple.
Keep hope. Keep faith.
But so many have never been out of their own neighborhoods. They have been kept down by the welfare state and victim mentality that goes with it, and now they are seeing the lies of their 'leaders' in the love of others for them.
Anyone who presumes to know why this storm happened and states that 'God sent it to punish NO' is out of line, IMO. But one thing we know. He can and will use anything for His Glory, and you're right......we can already see that happening.
Keep hope. Keep faith.
Beautiful! HOPE!
(Tough love....LOL!)
Amen.
I'm still ticked that the Pubbies are all on camera blaming the Feds for being tardy in the response. By now, we all know the truth about the Gov and Mayor, etc. Even many of the displaced blacks are furious with them.
Why do our guys on the right keep pandering, and in effect, LYING about the facts? I believe they are afraid if they stand up for the truth, they will be labled as "rasict" or without compassion which has NOTHING TO DO with the facts we now know about response, irresponsibility and incompetence by the LA officials.
The memo around Washington for the Repubs. must be to just Shut up and suck it up and continue blaming Bush. for "being late to respond". You've got to admire the Dems......they would NEVER let this happen to one of their own without speaking up. They would be screaming from the rooftops!
No "natural disaster" that ever occurs is "just any natural disaster" (so that point is mute) -
More importantly the Federal Gov't has no right to give away what isn't theirs to begin with (show me in the Constitution where the federal gov't has the right to give away 50 billion dollars in charity)
We cannot confuse our respect for the dead and sympathy for the living (victims of this natural disaster) ...we cannot confuse these feelings by then creating an injustice on the rest of the living (by "forcing" the rest of the living to rebuild New Orleans at a cost rate that will be ridiculous.....it is already running over budget by close to a $billion dollars a day!)
We can all give freely (and Americans are, in record amounts!!) - it is not the right of the federal Gov't to further give our tax dollars or non-Gov't related projects.
This is a terrible precedent (just as was the decision to pay out millions to 9-11 families). The federal Gov't has no busy...no right to do such things!
Absolutely!
I just watched the National Prayer Service, and listened to the beginning of Rush, where he played the audioclips of the ABC interviews last night.
There are boneheads everywhere who miss the point (many on this very thread), but most Americans GET IT!
The rebuilding of New Orleans, sleeker and stronger is just what this country needs, and we have the man in place who can lead us where we need to go, in the way things need to be done.
Praise the Lord!
***Bush just re-energized the GOP attempt to rip the black vote from the Dems and put a bullet through the unending cycle of welfare dependence.***
Zarf, I've felt since JFK's administration that the democrats were using the blacks to get votes. And yes, I voted for Kennedy, but I was only in my thirties then, and not yet politically aware. But pushing the blacks into ghettos and calling them "housing projects" and making them totally dependent on the government handouts wasTHE MOST ABUSIVE THING THE LIBS COULD HAVE DONE TO THE BLACKS.
Or do you just have a template like the left that comes spewing forth no matter what the circumstances?
Do you think about and analyze what you're saying before it shows up for all to read?
Then where is the $200 billino going to come from?
Also notice that others have noted that Bush has been buying love from the people for the start.
