No problem with that, but, only adults can have home ownership.

The people living off the tit of the government pig may not be ready for that, the scary part is,the government has lead them down this path, and they allowed it to happen.

Bush has been buying votes for 6 years now.

psssssstt...........I don't want to interfere with your train of 'thought' here, but.......the President isn't running for office again.

Hope that clears things up for you......

(I tell you......you hard rightists sound just like the left. THEY think he's running again too).

By providing some emergency relief then yes. To totally rebuild the area, then no. Why did no one have flood insurance?

The Feds aren't going to do this. PRIVATE companies are going to do this with TAX BREAKS from the FEDS. You really need to go read the President's speech to see what he said.

Bush is NOT a conservative.

Sure he is, just not under your estimation. He may well go down in history as the first black President. Clinton did NOTHING for the black community, beyond what Jesse told him to do. Jesse and Al are mad at this President because President Bush is actually DOING something beyond mere words, for the blacks in this country, rather than just giving the black community a false sense of HOPE and kind words, which is the playbook of Clinton, Jesse, Al and the Democrat party. The Democrats better be afraid, because it will be looked back upon in history as Republicans actually helping out blacks in this country, like they did some 41 years ago.

A lot of people have turned on the President tonight.

Doubtful. All I see here are those who were against Bush to begin with continuing their jihads.

I know. I am excited about the future here because it will be better. There is a lot of history in NO and it's a tough city that will be back. Can you imagine the despair and hopelessness there would be had JF'nK been president? This would have sent the country into a severe depression.

Some folks have truly lost their humanity when they begrudge the people in the Gulf Coast a chance to rebuild and restart their lives.

Yes, he did what was best for the country, not what was best for himself or even for the party.

Yes. His apology was graceful and meaningful. And hurtful, a bit, to all of us who understand that he is taking something upon his shoulders that he did not earn.

Which, in the end, makes him a great leader.

He does know what is best for our nation, and if the liberals want to continue blaming it all upon him, let them, they are not and have never been honorable people and will never take the hard look at what happened at the state and local levels.

So be it.

Our President wanted the suffering people to know that he will take their blame and he will turn it into something resembling a better life for them, in the end.

"That can't be. Rush Limbaugh says Tim Russert is the most fair and objective of all mainstream television journalist."

Rush is documented to be right about 98% of the time. Now you know where that other 2% went. He could reach 100% if he'd give up on Russet.

Don't be obtuse. Unlike you, I don't owe my allegience to a man and his career. For 6 years, Bush has been spending money like a drunken sailor? Surely you've heard of this, right? I'm not talking about military spending either.

I'm surprised that you're not aware of it.

But don't forget that billions will be saved because Bush had the courage to suspend Davis-Bacon for the rebuilding contracts. That will have a huge impact on the bang for the buck we are getting out of this.
