Gerson wrote it? Thanks, Lord!
Gerson is the one who wrote all of President Bush's best speeches. First Inaugural, National Cathedral, Address to Congress Sept. 20, 2001, for example.

Remember LA was already first on the list for money spent in one area before the storm hit.....
What has been bothering me from the beginning is Moon Landrieu's connection with HUD and the number of houses owned by a few, but rented at high prices to many that have HUD connections and were destroyed by the flood. Don't want to put more money in crooked folks pockets....Hope "W" has some safe guards.

I love this pic!
Lt.Gen. Honore: "Oh for the love of ... what am I doing here with these-these...you know what I mean!"
Chertoff: "What's that stench?"
Nagin: ..... clueless
Blank-O: "Oh man, I can't even take control of my hair!"

:-) You're a glutton for punishment, starting a thread like this. I'm not even gonna get worked up tonight. Think I'll go see who's playing football. Because I'm sure even though the speech is still a half hour away that dozens have already said how "that speech sucked" and "Dubya did nothing" or "They used to support President Bush, but this was the last straw..."

Who most of us? The 1% of bitter and defeatists Buchananites or third party voters said goodbye to him, no one cares about you anyway, you are nobody.

Well anyone who bashes I will engage. I am tired of the bashing, he does what he thinks is right, mostly I agree, but even when I don't I respect him.

This speech is a major turning point for him and for me. The anxiety im expressing is appropriate.

Doing okay, all things considered. Hope you are too! :-)
To: Miss Marple
I agree with you sentiment regarding taking care of our own. IMHO there must be some oversight given the large sum of our treasure going to all of the affected areas. Louisana in general, and New Orleans in specific, happen to have the distinction of a history of corruption and graft. I am not in favor of another federalist reconstruction. Nor am I in favor of handing governors and mayors a blank check.
What is the best solution?
To: Hop on Poppy
Well, welcome to FR. And you are worried about what exactly.
