Memo to our amigos in Central America: The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors has agreed to put out a $400,000 welcome mat to ease the illegal transition of your citizens in Herndon, Annandale and Culmore. In case you have not heard, some of your citizens illegally cross the border with bladder conditions and then have no choice but to relieve their discomfort after setting up shop on the grounds of private businesses. We crazy gringos never knew that our Central American friends were afflicted with so many bladder issues. But now we do, and in true American spirit, our duly elected officials are setting up day-laborer centers to ease the trauma of a weak bladder, both for the person with the weak bladder and those who might catch a glimpse of the person with the issue. The day-laborer centers will be equipped with bathrooms and other essential services, such as English classes and social counseling. Sometimes, day laborers have an urge to ogle women, and it would be awfully nice if the day laborers could discuss this need with a social worker. A social worker who has earned the proper number of graduate degrees could ask, "How does it make you feel to ogle women? And which feels more empowering: ogling women or relieving yourself against the side of the 7-Eleven?"

Ah, importing and encouraging more gang related machete atttacks!
bttt
Hand to God, this is true.
Our neighborhood became infested with illegals over the past 18 months (South Philadelphia is now Managua) and THREE times now, I've observed the cuddly little disease carriers walk down the side walk, member hanging out of trow, urinating right in front of themselves as they stumble along. THREE TIMES!!!
And that doesn't include the long damp spot weaving down the sidewalk I saw this Monday morning.

Hijinx, you gotta read this one!
It gets worse. My wife teaches elementary school in Fairfax; 25 kids this year - I think three are legal, all miltary kids. The rest are from over 15 different nations, several speak no English at all. 25 kids. 16 languages. One teacher. Right. We're outta here when my kid graduates from HS in three. The schools up here look like the UN General Asssembly - and you are paying for it (just like the UN!). Help!
Herndon used to be such a nice place in which to live.
Then... the Islamicists came in.
Now... Illegal aliens.
I do hope my family members in the area shall not pay the price of such "tolerance" - even though one such, in the folly of old age, has acted to aid the former.
Gag. Glad there's not a big popualtion of illegals where I live now. It's even the legals (migrants) who do it. I'd always cringe when I saw a 15 passenger van in the parking lot of the supermarket in the town where we used to live. You KNEW it was migrants shopping. Why it was always the men was beyond me, but you couldn't get through the store without getting ogled or hissed at or hearing them make some comments to each other in Spanish that made you glad you didn't know Spanish. SO GLAD we're out of there.
I go back from time to time because I have family still in NoVa (although they've escaped Fairfax County) and I just don't recognize the place.
Used to live in Fairfax. Glad I moved out years ago.
That's my daughter's school and the elementary school I noted is Hunt Valley. West Springfield is overrun. It's still a nice community in many ways but not if you have kids in the school system. Check the plummeting SAT scores.
The men are there keeping an eye on their women..more to the point - what their women SPEND. It's part of Old Mexican culture..the women are pretty much subservient to the men. The women collect the Welfare and food stamps, the men buy beer and tequila with their under the table and sometimes legal earnings.
As for them speaking Spanish. I'm learning the language. Sometimes, when I overhear things, I join the conversation..Mexicans HATE it when they find out you understand them...I have really received some looks.
This is the USA I should not have to learn their language, but I'm finding it very handy..besides, most US Citizens are smart enough to pick up the relatively easy Tex-Mex..
1. You are obviously not a world traveler. Such behavior is VERY COMMON in the Mediterranean and Latin America. Why are American woman still shocked by this?
2. If it bothers you that much, do what my Italian and Latin American female friends do: a. Find an old lady to scold them in Spanish, b. Learn some comebacks in Spanish that would put them to shame or c. give them a quick elbow to the groin.
Yep sounds like the South Philly of late. It just aint what it used to be. 10-15 years ago it was truly a great place. Not no more!
One of my sisters went to West Springfield - I went to Annandale. Annandale High's been completely taken over by Latino gangs, and there don't seem to be ANY native English speakers in any of the stores.
I am. And I lived in a Mediterranean country for three years. I also traveled to South America quite a bit on one of my jobs from 1998 to 2003.
None of the people in those countries were as disgusting with the blatant hissing and low-class come-ons as the illegals that slither across the U.S.'s borders are.
I've never been shocked by it, but I've always been repulsed by it.
I called my mothers cell phone today and got her voice mail in english and spanish. My mother is seriously angry about that.
Hopefully, it's a temporary thing with all the gentrification going on. It just doesn't make sense to rent out a house for $1,000/month when you can sell it for $300k, but right now, it's terrible.
When I wait for the bus in the mornings, hordes of illegal women and kids make their way to the public schools, sometimes three generations on hand. The idea that these people are here just to make some money to send back to their families is demonstrably untrue.

a fair percentage of those who illegally invade our Republic are criminals and illiterate peasants in their own blighted sty of a homeland. explains things, yes?
