Then six different panels of out- side witnesses deliver their views on the professional and personal suitability of John Roberts to be appointed Chief Justice of the United States. This testimony will take the entire day.

I only wish all high school students in America could watch these past few days of hearings in total. What a civics lesson on the Constituion and the role of the various branches from our future Chief Justice!

Do we have any idea when the next nominee will be named? I'd imagine they will want to have a full court before the session begins, right? Any clue, ballpark or otherwise when Pres. Bush will nominate for the other vacancy?
