Roberts: Day Four Set to Begin
On Thursday, the members of the Senate Judiciary Cmte. continue with a third round of questioning. Then six different panels of out- side witnesses deliver their views on the professional and personal suitability of John Roberts to be appointed Chief Justice of the United States. This testimony will take the entire day.

Some say "No one" will come up to the intellectual level of Roberts....We'll see....Surely there are others who have been first in their class and are as scholarly.
You don't dignify garbage by referring to it..this is OVER.
Well dang me, ought to take a rope and hang me...lol.
AUTONOMY -- how could I have forgotten that!
Bruce Botelho, Mayor of Juneau, Alaska.
Says Kohl's opening statement struck him the most. Kohl's description of a good justice, describes Roberts.
I see Schumer voting for Roberts.
Fantastic! Thank you!
I hope they are going back to the hearings after this commercial break.
I have to hand it to old Arlen..he's run this hearing perfectly..and slapped down the Dems whenever needed...and stuck to his timetable..he deserves a kudo..
Probably, but can you imagine having to follow Roberts in confirmation hearings.
Would be sort of like having to follow Lucianne Pavarotti in a tenor competition.
Pressed earlier on Court TV, Dershowitz mentioned McConnell as a possibility of a first-rate legal mind (and one other I hadn't heard of and forget). (He trashed both Ediths.) He did freely grant that Roberts is first-class.
What the heck is with the Democrat Leftist women? The ONLY thing they talk about is killing babies. Everything with them is SEX SEX SEX. I don't get it. Look I'm no saint though I'm trying. I like sex as much as the next person but am trying to remain chaste. It is completely insane to me to see these haggard women constantly ranting about abortion. Is it supposed to be empowering to be allowed to decide to kill or not to kill your own baby?
Also, if someone could please explain to me why the ugliest of women are the most outspoken about being allowed to slaughter children I'd be grateful.
This is just insane to me. I literally do not understand the mindset that makes someone so rabidly supportive about having the "right" to murder unborn children.
"I tremble for my nation when I remeber that God is just." Appropriate.
I'm crime she's good, on legal stuff, she basically sucks.
And Crier is worse; she's a LIBERAL with a book to hawk.
And when she is wrong she NEVER admits it. I had an email exchange with her where I proved to her in black and white with links that the judge she said had worked for the Bush-Cheney recount in Florida was not the same one; I asked her to state so on CTV and she refused.
It was something about some records released about what's his face........the WMD guy who had been arrested for luring a kid to Burger King.
FYI..there was a blurb in the paper a few days ago..some soap opera is untoducing a new character, a blond female spitfire type prosecutor named "Gracelyn Nance."

I'm glad to know now, maybe :-)
It's probably been better for my mental health not to listen to this crap.
Does one single Democrat in the nation ever wonder why every single Republican gets tarred with the racist brush? It's getting really old.
Thanks....my blood pressure cannot take much more of this.
Botelho talking about Robert's visit to Alaska. Says Roberts works collaboratively, has respect for the law, has good judgment and common sense.
How true....
Certainly sound like a personable person from the AG from Alaska.....But of course his fellow democrats will chose not to listen to him..."Most remarkable, inspiring lawYer"
Scott Ridder.
The first thing that pops in my mind is "misery loves company".
