He is a man of many accomplishments: A member of the 1972 national championship football team at the University of Southern California. A Hall of Fame wide receiver with the Pittsburgh Steelers and owner of four Super Bowl rings. A family man and father of two boys, who lives in a million-dollar home in the plush Pittsburgh suburb of Sewickley. A respected broadcaster at ABC Sports for more than a quarter century. An entrepreneur who commands between $20,000 and $50,000 for speaking engagements. A recognized philanthropist, who has served on the boards of numerous charities.
So, why on earth would Lynn Swann want to be the governor of Pennsylvania, a job that carries a relatively pedestrian annual salary of $144,416?
Why?
"I think this is an opportunity for me to use my talents to help the people of Pennsylvania," Swann said to ESPN.com in an exclusive interview. "I think we can be much better than we have been in recent years. I believe Pennsylvania needs leadership from outside the box."

I've heard about the possibility of this for months. Hope he goes for it. The only stump speech of W's from last year that I taped, was when he was in Pennsylvania, July, I think, and Lynn Swann was there with him on his team.

Yeah. If he does, watch the liberals cry out and scream "He's abandoned his black brothers!" in an attempt to keep the black vote. No sarcasm, unfortunately.

So what does Swann stand for? What are his views on taxes; medicare, medicade; gun control; gas prices; taking care of a run a way legislature, that gives themselves raises when ever they feel like it; school taxes; the good of the commonwealth as a whole??????
When I hear these answers, then I'll decide if he is good enough for MY vote....

This guy can beat Rendell and Rendell MUST be defeated. And Swan isn't just ANYONE. He'd make a great candidate. Unless someone surfaces who is even better in my view, count me in!!!!!!!
