Writings of Roberts, that he thinks the WH is "hiding."

There's a memo that he shoved into Roberts' face when they met before the hearing that Roberts wasn't party to and Leahy wanted to force an opinion on.

Or it could have been his depends.

Don't know.

Thanks again, I'm glad you kept your eye on the ball (not)...... the point WAS that Biden was down on the canvas.

If the Dims were smart they'd just vote to confirm now and get it over with.

I love how calm and reasoned Roberts is.

Janice Rodgers Brown is the ideal candidate. The backlash when the 'Rats try to smear, bully, and intimidate her would be a marvel to see.

Please, please, please let the next nominee be Brown!

I love her, but the brilliant choice is Miguel Estrada as the objections raised against Estrada were exactly the same as those against Judge Roberts.

They could do nothing else except vote him in.

I would love to see Brown nominated, she's my pick for lots of reasons, 1st blk female on supreme court, how beautiful would that me ;o) I wish W would surprise us all like he did with Roberts however...it'll never happen...she would be too extreme right even for the gang of 14.

Also from NRO Bench Memos:

The RNC, Not Surprisingly
[Kathryn Jean Lopez 09/14 12:37 PM]
is sending this out:

CHAIRMAN JOE BIDEN: "[Y]ou Not Only Have A Right To Choose What You Will Answer And Not Answer, But In My View You Should Not Answer A Question Of What Your View Will Be On An Issue That Clearly Is Going To Come Before The Court In 50 Different Forms, Probably, Over The Next - Over Your Tenure On The Court." I doubt Specter will go along with THE more documents ploy. He's saying he wants to conclude the second round of questionning TODAY. Let's hope he is not going to allow a third round of questionning, which is being asked of him.

I almost feel like I am looking at a being from another world!

Know exactly what you are saying. After wataching the unholy trio from Louisiana for the last two weeks......I feel much better now just looking and listening to this superb man. I would sure like to know who brought him to the President's attention. Was it Thompson?
