Considering the facial expressions of Mrs. Roberts I am guessing that she goes off as soon as they get in the car, he after all gets to talk all day, she has to sit there and listen to these jerks try to rip her husband. Plus she is also a lawyer.

But he's going to take a beating...lol. Is he really so out of touch with reality, that he thinks he has a CHANCE?

Biden has as much chance to be president as Michael Newdow.

Hah. Or Fred Phelps.

I'm old enough to remember his last try. He's not only out of touch with reality, he's not even in the same solar system. He'll give it a shot, and boy, it's going to be fun to watch.

"He's only suffering these fools gladly so that he can get on SCOTUS. It has to give him a headache just to try to think down to Biden's level"

You're right, we have to thank him for being willing to do it. Think that people like GWB and Cheney and Rumsfeld have to put up with the idiocy of these clowns every stinkin' day.

It is not I who is "in the way."

This is a thread about the nomination hearing of John Roberts.

It's you who seem to be lost.

I wouldn't go that far, but compared to the people asking the questions, he's hands down a step up, and several of them think they could or should have been President.

Look at the bright side -- if Biden and Kennedy and Box-O-Rox and some of these other geniuses weren't in the Senate, they might instead work at the DMV and then we'd never get our driver's licenses renewed.

Carol Browner, Former Administrator, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), 1993-2001

Carol Browner is the longest serving administrator in the history of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). She received the appointment from President Bill Clinton in January 1993, and was unanimously confirmed by the U.S. Senate. During her tenure, she partnered with business leaders, community advocates, and all levels of government heads to promote common sense, cost-effective solutions to the nation's most pressing environmental and public health challenges. She successfully built broad bipartisan support in Congress to pass two pivotal modern environmental laws - the landmark Food Quality Protection Act and the Safe Drinking Water Act. Browner knows environmental regulation both from the Washington and state perspective. From 1991 to 1993, Browner was Secretary of Florida's Department of Environmental Regulation, one of the nation's largest state environmental agencies. She won praise for dealing effectively with difficult issues involving wetland protection, hazardous waste disposal, and Everglades cleanup. Browner is currently a partner at The Albright Group in Washington, DC.

As I said earlier, Roberts is the only one in the room who should or is qualified to be running.

Had to choose between eating and Kennedy. Good breakfast.

I truly love Senator Sessions, but I get 20 minutes of household tasks done whenever he's on the microphone. I just can't stand the horror of his speaking voice, poor lamb. Grating to the max, and monotonous enough to drive one nuts.

Thanks. I just googled her myself. Just glancing over the results, her name shows up on a lot of sites that attack "junk science." And she accused Bush of "gutting the agency" when he took over (good move on his part!).
