You mean this one?

RUSH: Let's go to Donna in South Windsor, in Connecticut. Hi, Donna, welcome to the program.

CALLER: Good afternoon, Mr. Limbaugh. Um, you know, I just wanted to, um, share a couple of thoughts and then, um, ask you for your take on them, where you think my thinking might be going off the rails or where it might be right. I'm foolish and naïve enough -- well, I'm not foolish and naïve enough -- to believe in any of those, but certainly in an ideal world you could hope that you could just not be a liberal or a Democrat or a Republican or Democrat or a liberal or a, um, conservative and just do what's right, and I have to say that truly on a number of occasions I feel like you've vacillated back and forth between the two depending on the circumstances, depending on what would be the easiest or most politically correct thing to say, so forgive me for that if it's too pointed. But essentially what I see with, um, President Bush when I look at what he has done or not done in, um, New Orleans, and really a lot of times in a lot of places -- and I wouldn't just use this for this case specifically, but as a general method of operating from what I see --

RUSH: (snorts)

CALLER: -- is that, um, he's moved to action either in front of the cameras or more and more likely behind the cameras when what he's doing or not doing is affecting what he has categorically called his "base," and, um, your screener asked me to define that, and I'm -- I'm certainly confident that you can, um, better do that than I can, and the second thing is that, um, being that there's nothing going on down in these areas that --

RUSH: (yawns)

CALLER: -- will significantly impact his base, um --

RUSH: (snoring)

CALLER: -- he's not really moved to ask that much, and secondly, the fact that when you consider that Texas has the lowest per capita spending by its government, and I believe that, um, --

RUSH: (snoring)

CALLER: -- Governor Bush was instrumental in that when he was the governor of the state of Texas, that we're also seeing his general philosophy about how it is that the government does or does not intercede with assistance or lack of assistance, and also the whole issue of whether or not this person is responsible or that person is responsible. All those arguments can really turn on a dime, and that's the part that I have an issue with when I, you know, listen to some of your commentaries on these things. So, you know, I'd like to just hang up and ask you what your perspectives are in relation to those comments. Thanks very much for taking my call.

RUSH: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa-ho-ho-ho!

CALLER: Oh, okay. I'm not getting away that easily?

RUSH: No, no, no. I want to thank you, Mrs. Schumer, for the call. But the --

CALLER: Mr. Limbaugh, no, no, no.

The Dims are distracted. They really want to continue the blame game on Katrina. The problem is that the public is placing minimal blame on Bush and the recovery will most likely be more of a positive for him as time goes on. Let the Dims focus on Katrina and Bush (who is not up for re-relection) while Roberts sails through the nomination for a 30 year + tenure on the Supreme Court.

Katrina, it's the Dims next Sheehan, Plamegate, Ohio voting, War Quagmire, 2000 election. I can't wait to hear what their October "scandal" will be.

Watching Judge Roberts argue the Law with Joe Biden was like watching Einstein argue physics with Curly of the Three Stooges.

You multiply that times the number of senators there are on the committee. On the other side of the table you have Judge Roberts, who just sits there: One man, one brain, one memory bank. But the thing that's funny is it's a fair contest

No it wasn't. Judge Roberts made them look like the washed up old losers that they are. He danced circles around them and made it look so easy that it was funny. Particularly biden. If Biden had any sense of shame, he wouldn't even show up tomorrow.

I loved how John Roberts --always politely -- would say to the dims:
You didn't read the first paragraphs/or the following paragraphs..........

You misinterpreted what was written there. It.................

This was written in advising......................... not judging.

It was priceless. Roberts scored again and again and again.

Never bring a knife to a gunfight.

It was a battle of wits, and the Democrats came unarmed.

>Did anyone hear that dopey woman who called in during the last hour of the show? Talk about a pointy head "intellectual".

I heard some of it. Rush addressed her points directly, and she kept changing the subject, again and again. She was somewhat articulate and had a reasonable tone of voice, but she would not or could not defend her own positions.

When someone presents me with solid evidence that I am wrong, when the facts are against me, I CHANGE MY MIND. I say things like, "You are right, and I was wrong." That woman gave no hint that she was capable of changing her mind. She seemed only capable of changing the subject.

I doubt she even noticed how badly she lost their debate.

"Never underestimate the obnoxiousness or the brashness of Democrats"

Amen to that.

If there is one thing that has been established firmly in this nation over recent decades it is that Democrats are completely void of shame.

LOL! That caller was as content-free as those Senators' opening statements yesterday.

I think so too. I can't imagine that the Dems actually think they made themselves look good. Just watched Kennedy and Biden on CSpan.

Who in the world keeps voting for those morons? Kennedy comes across to me now as a desperate old politician, still trying to think he's important.

Biden is just snotty. I hate that guy!

Leahy is pathetically under qualified to hold his current position.

This is the understatement of the day from my perspective. He is underqualified for any position...anywhere, possibly even to be related to the human race.

This guy, Leahy, makes me want to throw up! I cannot abide his presence, voice, countenance..anything.
