This is so true, but that would have been one upsmanship, and would have been perceived by the MSM as indicating Roberts was not bright enough to follow the deep intellectual prowess of the questioner.
No need to give them any easy sound bites to spin.
ROTFLOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anything to shed responsibility for their absolute poverty of mind and ideas.
The Governor of LA and Mayor of NO have complete control of a state, run it into the ground, a disaster strikes that they grossly mismanage...and it MUST...MUST...MUST be someone elses fault...because...because...(struggle^$#%^$) because....it MUST be.
Like taking no responsibility for the Johnson's idiotic, bureaucratic-creating War on Poverty to begin with.
Thanks for the ping! Another excellent monologue by Maha-Rushie this afternoon. ;-)
It would be positively so embarrassing to have to own up to living in the states that Biden and Kennedy are from...I would have to leave out of a sense of integrity. Throw NJ in there too! Remember that Lautenburg throw in when they new the Torch was "going out"?
I would have to move.
Please FReepmail me if you want on or off my miscellaneous ping list.
ping!
I wanted so badly to hear Roberts use the phrase "drunk driver" in one of his answers to Kennedy. I know he's too classy and gentlemanly to do such a thing, but I can always hope!
LOL!
One more time. John Roberts is one heck of a guy!
For sure! Nice picture too.

ROFL
Maybe he could work in a discussion of a case where a drunk driver fled the scene of a fatal accident ;-)
-Poise, Intellect, Grace Under Pressure. I like this guy.-
I guess that's a good reason to HAVE these hearings, so the American public can get to know his character. And I give him an AAA rating.
AND A COWBELL..........
That's the one.
bump
They are very very bad people.
Hello! Rush has had some excellent coverage on the confirmation. I wanted to see what everyone thought about this. What does everyone think about the possibilities the John Roberts is not a Constitutional conservative, like Thomas and Scalia, and turns out to be a closet liberal like kennedy and souter, or a moderate who sides with liberals instead of the intent of the Constitution like OConner? This has been discussed here a lot Im sure, but there are LOTS of posts here now. :) So far, I havent seen or heard a thing that would make me think he would not be a conservative Constitutional Justice, but I was wondering what everyone else thinks.
Do you think the MSM will ever report the following remarks made by Iraq's President?
PRESIDENT TALIBANI:
Thank you. Thank you, Mr. President, for your kind remarks. It is honor for me to stand here today as a representative of free Iraq. It is an honor to present the world's youngest democracy.
In the name of Iraqi people, I say to you, Mr. President, and to the glorious American people, thank you, thank you. Thank you, because you liberated us from the worst kind of dictatorship. Our people suffered too much from this worst kind of dictatorship.
The -- (inaudible) -- was hundred thousand of Iraqi innocent children and women, young and old men. Thank you, and thanks to the United States, there are now 15 million Muslims in Afghanistan and Iraq liberated by your courageous leadership and decision to liberate us, Mr. President.
We agree with Mr. President Bush that democracy is the solution to the problems of the Middle East.
Mr. President, you are a visionary, great statesman.
We salute you. We are grateful to you. We will never forget what you have done for our people.
That was painful to watch. I lost a lot of respect for Senator Biden, since I thought he was one of the Democrats with Presidential potential.
Now I seriously doubt any American will vote for him in the Democratic primaries. He made Howard Dean look sane.
