Today, President Bush met with Iraqi President Jalal Talabani in the Oval Office, and together they had a joint press conference in the East Room of the White House.

This afternoon, President and First Lady Laura Bush left the White House for New York City, where the President will address the United Nations.

I think it was kinda sweet and cute that Pres. Talabani referred to W as "Mr. President Bush"

Hi Pippin! :) Instead of listening to Rush and Glenn Beck during the day(I love both of them, but am so tired of all the political stuff right now) I have been listening to the Harry Potter tapes on "The Half Blood Prince" Not really finding many more clues, but it has been very therapeutic to listen to the tapes instead of all the other stuff.

I remember why I save smiley and other graphics to my Email -- if they are already posted on the Internet, I like to hotlink to the site where they are already posted, as I use the free version of Photobucket, which has limited storage.

I've not seen the black soy beans. Can you tell me more?

Tom, where do you get the "bag of soybeans" you talk about getting each month, and would you be willing to share some recipes, via FReepmail, of course. Thanks in advance, both of you.

Pictures, quotes and articles that you'll never read on the Washington Post or NY Slimes website, can be read on the Washington Times.

They are to newspapers, as FNC is to television.

We finally have a conservative voice in print again. I heartily commend it to you. In fact, on Mondays, on page 2 they print excerpts from some Pastor/Priest/Rabbi's sermon and profile the Church/Synagogue. Refreshing to see religion covered once again.

Also Bill Sammon and Bill Gertz, whom you've seen on Fox News, work for that newspaper.

I realize where you live, you can't get an actual paper to read, but you can, by subscribing to read it online. The full newspaper is available for reading through a newspaper reader that makes me think I'm sitting on my couch, reading my paper!

If you don't want to subscribe, "most" of the paper is available for free, at www.washtimes.com.

I heartily suggest you let Brit Hume know how disgusted you are that he didn't mention what ELSE the President said at the press conference with the President of Iraq.

Send to brit.hume@foxnews.com

He's prolly gonna change his personal email address after this, but for now - this is the one "he" reads!

Understand Gretchen, if you want to store any smilies or other clipart on my photobucket account give me the link and I will upload them in case they disappear from their original source as I have paid account.

That is uncommonly nice of you, Eleanor. Thanks. I'll definitely keep that in mind.

I was watching BBC News the other night and caught an interview with two team members from your country after their win at The Ashes.

They didn't speak nearly as clearly as you do. ;-)

Hey Truthy -

(how are you doing, btw, and have you moved?)

I use the black soy beans because I am doing Atkins/low carb due to diabetes. They are lower in carbs than kidney beans. You might try your local healthfood/whole food grocery store.

However, I didn't find any near me and resorted to the web. I get them from Vitacost.com. Put 'black soy beans' in the search box on the left and the item will come up.

I use them in chili, Indian curries, and minestrone soup. Tommix2 is the expert on the bag o'beans. I guess I'm too lazy to deal with the raw beans.

Have you never listened to the tapes? It is very addictive. The British actor who does them is quite good and has an intoxicating voice. Yes so much more relaxing than Rush or Sean these days. Not their fault but the constant tyrade the media has against Bush is wearing on my nerves and I need a break. :)

http://www.vitacost.com/ This is the URL of the on line food store that radiohead gave me. Order Eden Organic Black Soy Beans. They have it in 15 oz cans, very good and not expensive. You don't have to soak these. They also hve lots of other good stuff;

Thanks for the suggestion of the Washington Times. I had a print subsciption for several years, but have been on the move the last few years and so did not keep it up. Now that I am getting settled, I think I will subscribe again.

I hope you are continuing ro recover. You remain in my prayers.

Thanks for the info on the canned black soybeans.

Frnkly, I'm scared to use any canned soybeans. I have a problem with yeast in any form and most canned items (tomatoes, tuna, etc.) make me VERY sick.

Now, fresh soybeans - yes. But you didn't tell me where you get yours from.

The Wash. Times is currently running a $30 subscription for 6 months - a real deal! If you call the circulation office, you need to ask, "Do I need to talk with a special promotion number or you can offer me this special?"

It used to be they would give me a "promotion office" but now anyone in the circulation office seems to say, "I can give it to you for that price" and proceed to process the offer.

I'm not doing much better, in terms of strength and ability to move. It takes 1 or 2 crutches to keep me upright, every day, most of the day. And yes, I did move. It was an awful experience. The moving company scratched, or flat out broke every antique I own. I'm now sorry I didn't sell all of it before I moved as it was in excellent condition. Now it's all going to have to be repaired. And yes, I am thinking of suing the moving company, especially the truck driver. I think they've been trying to "retire him" for several years, and clearly, they need to not have him as their trucker anymore.

It's a mess, and being on crutches,it's really difficult to get unpacked. But I have a pool in my backyard and when I get tired of the boxes, I just go down and sit by the pool as it's now gotten too cool to swim in it. We've been having nights that drop down into the 60's and that'll chill a pool right quick!

Thanks for the prayers. Please don't stop!

You have mail, re source for soy beans.
On the can of black soy beans it says: Ingredients:Organic black soy beans, water, kombu seaweed. Might be OK for you.
