Today, President Bush met with Iraqi President Jalal Talabani in the Oval Office, and together they had a joint press conference in the East Room of the White House.
This afternoon, President and First Lady Laura Bush left the White House for New York City, where the President will address the United Nations.
Enjoy your trip to Sanity Island on the Daily Dose!
Congratulations! You finally made number one and got a toaster. Now you can concentrate on other things. That picture looks a bit fuzzy, sort of like a painting. Why is that? But it is a beautiful picture.
I have the picture of George and Laura on the porch that RNC sent. Recently some dear friends that I had not seen for many years visited me from San Antonio and she saw the picture on my wall and exclaimed "I took my son to see him when he was Governor", but I do not know whether she likes President Bush or not, and I was afraid to ask.
Eden's black soy beans are delicious, easy to prepare, and good for too!
The cost is why most companies in the UK have gone that way. I also think that employees that get paid in this way will have fared better in the Katrina disaster because any monies owing them can be deposited straight into their account those that are paid by cheque or cash surely will have great problems getting their money.
"what a couple!"
Couldn't agree more! That picture of the 2 of them leaving the WH - they look like a couple of models out of a page on a fashion magazine - Excellent picture.
Someone mentioned earlier they liked Laura's hair a little longer - I do, too - think she looks fabulous in this picture. Love both their suits!
Yes, he could be sick, but it looks more like he let himself go. I know Brian Williams took his place, and he was showboating down in the Superdome the last two weeks. He came out and said the Media was taking the gloves off, well they have already had them off for Republicans, and they certainly will not hold Crazy Mary or the other crooked crazy dems in charge in Louisiana.
I thought I had seen all of his many expressions and moods. But today was the first time I have ever seen him appear so subdued and maybe even a little depressed. It made me worry about him -- worry for him.
We expect WAY too much from our presidents. No single human being can do everything expected of the modern presidency. Indeed, the presidency wasn't designed to be what it has become. Aided and abetted by an ignorant, biased, lazy MSM, as well as by political opportunists of all stripes and a pathetic education system, most Americans seem truly clueless about the way our system of government works.
We have states for a reason. Each state has a government that is, essentially, a smaller version of the federal government, again for a reason. Both our federal and state governments have three separate branches for a reason. Within our states, each county and municipality has a council-type local government structure, for a reason.
Yet it all seems lost on the vast majority of the American public -- or so it seems to me after the events of the last two weeks.
Sigh. Sometimes I think, "What fools we Americans are. Even with all its flaws, we have the best system of government ever devised, but so few of us bother to learn about how it works and who's responsible for what."
In any case, with the Katrina disaster, the MSM, working hand-in-glove with the usual race hustlers and Left/Democrat demagogues have just succeed in pulling off a huge hoax. The federal response to Katrina was HEROIC, yet the Leftist cabal has succeeded in convincing people around the world that it was the opposite.
Isn't it a letdown, when grow to like and respect a person and find a lot in common and then find that they believe the MSM. After the election one such couple that are really nice people told me the were moving to Cost Rica "because of the political situation here". They are still here and I remain on good terms, but avoid the subject of politics.
Hopefully all the computers that do that survived! Just think of everything that is gone forever...
I don't know if they look 'up to something,' but I sure think they look gorgeous!
(He does have kind of an ornery look on this face.......as he often does. :)
Yeah....I really like her hair!
Rack the photos I hearing from New Yorkers on sport site that they not amused that UN going F***k up traffic
Glad to hear you are enjoying the black soy beans. I just had some this morning in some leftover chili. I just don't have the foresight to soak beans the night before, etc. Open the can, put 'em in the pan!
I have the same pic from the RNC that you are talking about. I also have a more formal one. I have them both up, but I should really get them framed. I love looking at our First Couple.
Is it getting cooler out your way yet?
Imagine that so many Americans don't even know that the states and cities have the primary responsibility to take care of their own, and that the federal government should only come in as a safety valve, or in extraordinary circumstances. It's unbelieveable!
How have we managed to become such an UNeducated group of people (don't tell me..........I know. Liberal public education).
Blaming this GOOD man for this tragedy is just unthinkable, and yet the MSM has bullied stupid Americans into believing it.
Continued prayers for the President and for the TRUTH!!
Now I see why that picture looks fuzzy, it is only 258 x 345 pixels.
I just got my stove working in time last night, It is 35 degrees early in the morning.

Yahoo having a bit of fun
I see in Gemany they provide glasses LOL
I find it outrageous and amazing that the MSM have managed to pull the wool over the average America's eyes on this one.
It is very easy. Most come out of liberal public schools.
Liberal news media, liberal newspapers, liberal mags.
Many people find it difficult to think for themselves,
or take the time to search out limited conservative newsmedia, or mags. In other words, liberalism jamedown our throats only people like us on FR arn't sheep.
I can't believe the quote from PRESIDENT TALABANI. The media is sure not reporting this. All I heard from that press conference was that the President was taking responsibility for the hurricane response. I can't believe this statement wasn't reported! Well, maybe I CAN believe it.
