The Dem playbook

The Hill newspaper gives us a peek at the Democratic playbook for the Roberts hearings. Below are the attack assignments for the Democratic members of the Committee:

Kennedy -- civil rights

Leahy -- Bybee torture memo

Biden -- privacy, personal autonomyand the 9th Amendment

Kohl -- Property rights and civil liberties

Feinstein -- "judicial activism" and Roe vs. Wade

Feingold -- limits of executive powers

Schumer and Durbin have wisely refused to show their hand.

Every answer that Roberts gives is so articulate. He just had a question about precedent and the difference between commenting on cases that are not likely as opposed to are likely to come before the court. He hit it out of the ballpark and down the street.

Geraldo's too busy on Fox trying to look like hes fair and balanced or a conservative,,,,,, Oh ,I don't know what Geraldo's doing .He's such a ham........Heres what I think would be a funny combination for MSNBC for a talk show. James Carvile and Michael Savage...............Hubby just told me they already fired Savage from that station but Carvile and somebody..........

Kennedy's lies (misreadings attributed to Roberts) were summarliy exposed later on. Kennedy is without shame or conscience. He is a pig.

He lost face big time and deservedly so.

Cornyn is kicking ass pointing out how often SCOTUS throws out stare decisis and over rules itself.

I loved it when Schumer finally got up and every TV outlet left. C-SPAN went back to House coverage, FNC went to Special Report, etc., etc.. Schumer lost his cameras.

Cornyn just got Roberts to say that by saying that Roe v Wade is settled law, is not neccessarily saying that it can't be overtuned, to which Roberts agreed.

Way to go Cornyn! I feel better now about that issue.

Biden spoke for 8 min before getting to his question - then complained, during every answer of Roberts, he was running out of time.

Biden obviously thinks he is playing to a circus crowd. But of course his voter base (the circus) thought he was ever so clever in doing that.
