The Dem playbook

The Hill newspaper gives us a peek at the Democratic playbook for the Roberts hearings. Below are the attack assignments for the Democratic members of the Committee:

Kennedy -- civil rights

Leahy -- Bybee torture memo

Biden -- privacy, personal autonomyand the 9th Amendment

Kohl -- Property rights and civil liberties

Feinstein -- "judicial activism" and Roe vs. Wade

Feingold -- limits of executive powers

Schumer and Durbin have wisely refused to show their hand.

"Don't you want to comment more strongly?" on Pat Robertson, etc."

....meaning, "don't you want to take this opportunity to go on record as demonizing Pat Robertson? Don't you want to bash someone on the Right? After all, we do it all the time."

I've been wondering what has gotten into Scarborough too. Hangin' around Imus and Matthews too much probably. I can't stand him anymore.

I think it's safe to say that Roberts is without peer in this hearing. The man is beyond brilliant. He has GOOD sense too.

Re: Chrissy M.

That's the current rumor, first heard about on FREEPER, and you know how many rumors turn out true on FREEPER, LOL, nearly 90%.

If you are not on FREEPER you're on the OUTSIDE!

We'll just have to see.

That is a great piece of writing by Scalia. I would have preferred him as CJ. Unfortunately I rarely get what I prefer.

You're right though, Joe really has been off the deep end. I understand he was there... it was stressful. But I know for sure all the info he has on Nagin, Blanco and Landrieu; He chooses not to tell the truth still.

think it's safe to say that Roberts is without peer in this hearing.

His exchange with Kyl suggests he found someone close.

Fair and balanced is IN. Working for a Democrat for many years and then having your own news analysis show is OUT.

You're right, you should see all the blast faxes they have churned out in the span of yesterday and today. They are scared out of their minds (not really, they just want to raise money, the longer they fight, the more they get).

Don't omit Senator Sessions either. Very impressive men, but Roberts is clearly the smartest man in the room.

More good news: a LA legislator said the other night that steps were already being taken behind the scenes for Blanco's resignation.
