The Dem playbook
The Hill newspaper gives us a peek at the Democratic playbook for the Roberts hearings. Below are the attack assignments for the Democratic members of the Committee:
Kennedy -- civil rights
Leahy -- Bybee torture memo
Biden -- privacy, personal autonomyand the 9th Amendment
Kohl -- Property rights and civil liberties
Feinstein -- "judicial activism" and Roe vs. Wade
Feingold -- limits of executive powers
Schumer and Durbin have wisely refused to show their hand.

"I'm in no position to make a judgement on that."
Humble and brilliant.
I guess Feingold thinks speaking AS FAST AS HE CAN makes him sound more intelligent.
Jon Kyl is from Arizona, not Texas! John Cornyn is from Texas and he's also a good guy, but more like maybe POTUS material versus SCOTUS!
I hope you are right. I don't trust the dems at all. I have a feeling Chuckie is going to come out with something that he hopes to knock Roberts with. Kinda give the impression they are giving up and then hit Roberts who may have his guard down. I hope Roberts is ready for a spitball this evening.
Roberts is truly awesome..I hope he hangs in there.
Stuff him in a cannon!
I haven't had time to read this whole thread, but can someone give me an idea of what they think of his answers concerning the right to privacy, Griswald vs. Conneticut, etc.
TIA
Oh, come on, Feingold, we all know that the point of that interpretation was to get guaranteed seats for minorities.
Chelsea Clinton, however, WAS thinking about Bush's tax cuts. (Her own admission...I swear. LOL)
Feingold is such an ASS!
Feingold has two daughters, Jessica and Ellen. He lives in Middleton, Wisconsin.
Maybe another McGreevey?
He's smacking him now.
Senator I was a young staffer. I supported the president's view. That was my job.
Jesus, Mary and Joseph.
Feingold ought to shut up and save face.
Everybody sing together: "Feingold is a pompous idiot. Feingold is a pompous idiot. Feingold is a pompous idiot." Does he have NO CONCEPT WHATSOEVER as to what an a$$ he's making of himself?????
Re: Wisconsin voters, you may be assured that my sister's family in Madison are certainly not proud of Russ Feingold as their representative in the Senate (likewise for Sen. Kohl.).
My sister did her part, however. She had 9 kids. Five are married and live in Wisconsin. So, along with my bro-in-law, that makes 12 GOP votes in Wisconsin.
Feingold finally got a rise out of JR. Says he was only a 26 year-old aid.
Biden is an arrogant bastard of the first order. God I'm glad I'm not from his state; he is neck and neck with Shumer.
AMEN!
Roberts is schooling Feingold.
There's that phrase again......"Let me more on..."
We all know that means Roberts just kicked his butt.
He is a bass turd.
"Let me move on."
Feingold is trying to get him to commit to ancient history.
Is that all they have?
Pathetic.
