The Dem playbook
The Hill newspaper gives us a peek at the Democratic playbook for the Roberts hearings. Below are the attack assignments for the Democratic members of the Committee:
Kennedy -- civil rights
Leahy -- Bybee torture memo
Biden -- privacy, personal autonomyand the 9th Amendment
Kohl -- Property rights and civil liberties
Feinstein -- "judicial activism" and Roe vs. Wade
Feingold -- limits of executive powers
Schumer and Durbin have wisely refused to show their hand.

Right. Remember when Scalia had to recuse himself from one of the Ten Commandments cases because he was on record with a public statement?
NO NOTES! Roberts is amazing.
Nice try Feingold. Roberts cannot be cornered.
Gitmo question --- blame it on a constituate. GEEEZ. How utterly pathetic. Of course he cannot comment on a case still pending.
Some of the questions are just plain stupid!
Yes, I heard him before. He's a solid MAN!
Give it up, Feingold! You're not going to get Roberts to give an opinion on a matter than may come before him on the bench...
How the hell is Roberts supposed to know what one of Feingold's dumbass constituents thinks?
I'd say the difference is that the people of Alabama could be trusted with Sessions' replacement. Not true of Arizona.
Feingold wants Roberts to get into the mind of his friend. This is really lame.
ROTFLOL! OK to sign my name too.
I think I'll pen a quick one of my own.
How the hell did he know the specific article and section?
This guy HAS to have a photographic memory.
Kyl is from Arizona.
Feingold is a flat-out idiot.
Objection Senator. Calls for Speculation.
Sustained.
You're cruel! I love it.
Good point.
The first time I ever heard Senator Kyl speak, I thought 'Wow!' And each time since then has impressed me even more. He is one of the great ones.
Senator Lightweight Feingold - reporting for stupid questions. Doesn't matter WHAT proof Roberts offers as to why he CANNOT respond specifically, Senator Lightweight just doesn't get it. Is this a surprise?
Roberts is scary smart!
I would like to apologize in advance for one statement I made. It was wrong to accuse you of making up the quote, without further information. Assuming it is not a true quote (still my assumption), it's very possible that you misremembered it or obtained the "quote" through an unreputable source, or some other reason.
I don't know you, and it was wrong of me to accuse you of fabrication. I apologize.
And why would it even be relevant? Pretty clumsy, Russell.
