Vanity - What did you call me? Freeper Language 101

Posted on 09/11/2005 10:01:01 AM PDT by md2576

I've been at FR for awhile now and I thought it would be funny to list some of the Freeper language and meanings as we have made up our own words and meanings over the years. Have fun.

Hope you had that bookmarked cause I sure couldn't find it using the search.

It's off site, so you never would have found it searching here.
Glad to help!

If I remember correctly, if I remember correctly.

I can't remember which one of these 3 started it but one night on a DAy in the life thread someone had a beet red fack. That kept us laughing for days.

A real classic!
If someone has the link handy, please post it!

Not to worry, that word is acceptable now that Mayor Nagin used it on national TV.

"My fack is so red!!!" lol

I think that was Kath :) And No More Apples had a hand in that, too, I think ... or am I thinking of "gack"? She's definately responsible for "Oh my gack!", which I've used several times since :) And there was a "fark" in there, as well, IIRC ...

And YOU, young lady, aren't innocent--you gave us "butt buster cream"!!!

Wow ... were we all on NyQuil that night? :)

While FR isn't the first to use the term "newbie", it is, without a doubt, the site that takes your sign-up date most seriously.

(You just checked mine, didn't you?)

I did check lol, I'm still a newbie. Reading this thread makes me feel like I'll never know enough (or have enough free time on my hands) to not be considered a newbie.

Nyquil is always a good excuse for the brief brain freeze moments isn't it? And as far as butt buster cream goes it will clear up anything, especially beet red fack. :) Hey jonny! hope you are having a good day.

True. You will always be a newbie.
The very definition of a newbie is anyone who signed up after November 24, 2000.
Sorry. It's not like I make this stuff up.

I got one for you, Infowarrior, since I signed up a day or so ahead of you. "Welcome to Free Republic, newbie"

When did that start?
