She's like a 5-year old passenger who's just been designated as a pilot of an Airbus A380 that needs to be landed at London's Heathrow International Airport...
...and she's doesn't have a license, certification or even a day's worth of flight training.

"They did 100,000 people left in the city because this federal government won't support cities to evacuate people, whether it's from earthquakes, tornados, or hurricanes. That's the truth, and that will come out in the hearings."Excuse me, but is anyone here fluent in gibberish?

I think Landrieu is scared to death of an investigation into Louisiana politics and Federal Fund distribution. She thinks if she keeps deflecting, it might keep the heat off. But we won't let it, will we? Her level of intensity shows that this is much more personal than she's letting on.

Ironic that it was the black voters of New Orleans that Jesse Jackson drummed up at the last minute that allowed Landrieu to squeak to victory in the last election (using those same buses to get them to the polls). Yet it's largely her and her party's sheer incompetence and lack of concern that has put the black people of New Orleans at their greatest peril. Question is will the people of New Orleans "wake-up and smell the coffee?"

"They did 100,000 people left in the city because this federal government won't support cities to evacuate people, whether it's from earthquakes, tornados, or hurricanes. That's the truth, and that will come out in the hearings." And the mayor and the governor didn't order the use of the buses why?

She's such a spinning liar...never answering the question that doesn't shine the proper light the way she wants it to. TRUTH IS NOT IN HER...Continuing to prove she is nothin' but a crook as her family in the past were.

Landrieu just keeps shooting herself in the foot...which is a good thing.
I also take comfort in knowing a huge chunk of the Democrat voter base has been effectively shipped out. Now I'm hoping the people will punish the Democrat incompetent leaders come 2006/2008.

"Mayor Nagin and most mayors in this country have a hard time getting their people to work on a sunny day, less [sic] alone getting them out of the city in front of a hurricane."
Apparently she's seen how Chicago is the city that works.
To: William Creel
I saw that too.
Her constant blaming of the Bush administration, and then she says "now is not the time for finger pointing" when Chris Wallace tried to get her to answer a question. She was ridiculous and there isn't anyone watching who didn't see the absurdity of 95% of what she said.
What topped that though, was when Juan Williams is babbling on about FEMA and Brit had to explain to him what FEMA was, and that it was BLANCO who blocked FEMA positioned supplies from reaching those in need.

I'm not going to level criticism at local and state officials. Mayor Nagin and most mayors in this country have a hard time getting their people to work on a sunny day, less [sic] alone getting them out of the city in front of a hurricane. It's because this administration and administrations before them... (My Bold)
Landrieu admits her political lack of objectivity.

Ironic they can get the people picked up and taken to the polls, but not picked up and out of a doomed city.

So just what IS Mayor Ray Nagin's job again? It's up to a federal official-I would bet Landrieu means the President himself,in person-to come to NO and make sure that the people get on the buses and are driven to safety BEFORE the buses go under water? Again, just what IS the duty of the Mayor of the city?As it was,the National Weather Service had to specifically talk to him and impress upon him the potential magnitude of destruction from Katrina-I saw him on TV before the hurricane, standing there with his group of people, acting like this was nothing, acting like he was too cool to get worked up about a little ole Cat 4 or 5 hurricane-it was sickening and frustrating.

Wait, wait, wait.....She said there were 2 disasters, the hurricane and the levee break.
Has not Bush been mocked as clueless for saying the same thing?
Why does she get to say it?
